Digimon Story: Time Stranger[edit]
During an unknown time period, Shellmon healed an injured Ranamon and became acquainted with her.
Eight years ago, Shellmon took care of an injured Hangyomon. She didn't care that he was part of the Titans which were attacking the Abyss Area, only that he was harmed. To protect him, she isolated herself within her house, which caused the other Digimon of the Abyss Area to shun her other than a single chatterbox Kamemon. After arriving in the Abyss Area, Yuki Dan/Yuki Kanan took care of Shellmon's errands to befriend her, which included looking for said Kamemon who had gone missing after he left to get medicine in the mission "On the Shores of Another World". They ultimately gained Shellmon's trust, allowing them to enter her house and meet Hangyomon, who at this point had already formed a deep bond with Shellmon. Due to this, he joined the Agent in fighting the Titans, his old allies, to protect Shellmon.
After defeating their leader, Sharkmon, the party went back to the surface to meet with Shellmon once more. However, she was no longer in her house, having left alongside the rest of the villagers. The letter she left behind stated this, as well as how she'd pray for Hangyomon no matter where in Iliad she was, knowing he was a strong warrior.
Eight years later, Shellmon evolved into Venusmon and formed an alliance with Ranamon, a Titan who outwardly sought peace, after saving her. Due to this, Ranamon brought the party to Venusmon after they met in Central Town as they were looking for a healer for Mercurymon. During the trip, Ranamon explained to them about Shellmon's evolution. Both seemingly worked together to obtain peace, and to do so, they gave the Agent a flask of wine supposedly laced with a sedative meant to be a peace offering to the Titans, and tasked them to deliver it to the current leader of the Titans in the Abyss Area, who, unbeknown to Venusmon, was the evolved Hangyomon, Neptunemon. The wine turned out to be deadly poison, killing Neptunemon. Venusmon also fell into despair and died as a result.
Neptunemon was saved when Aegiomon used his Akashic Vision time-traveling powers to go back to the moment before the wine was delivered, warning Venusmon that the wine was laced with a deadly poison (rather than a sedative), and Ranamon was actually still working for the Titans' designs. They fought her inside Master Blimpmon, then went to Neptunemon's throne to warn him. When they met, Neptunemon and Venusmon immediately recognized each other despite their changed forms. However, Neptunemon's attempt at thanking Venusmon was interrupted by Ranamon who, angered that she got exposed and her plan failed, transformed into Calamaramon and was slain. Upon her defeat, Calamaramon pointed out that it meant nothing as the Titans' grudge couldn't be extinguished. Venusmon asked if she truly felt no gratitude when Venusmon saved her, but rather then answering the question, Calamaramon simply stated that she did all of this to prove her worth to the rest of the Titans and that she was jealous of Venusmon's true kidness before dying. Afterwards, looking at his scarf, Neptunemon finally fulfilled his promise and thanked Venusmon. Neptunemon and Venusmon then became the first Apostles of Iliad.
Neptunemon sent the Agent to deliver a Blue Chrondigizoit Ring to Venusmon in the side mission "To My Dearest" as thanks for her scarf, sure that the use of such a precious metal would be enough of a message. However, while she understood the importance of it, she did not actually understand what it meant and instead she thought it was a Christmas present as she had learned of said human custom from Neptunemon in the first place. As Christmas was celebrated by exchanging presents, she gave some medicine (Venusmon's Cure) to the Agent to deliver to him in return.
The Agent took Examon to Venusmon for a medicine that would made it grow in the side mission "The Call of the Unseen". She failed to notice Examon at first, to the point she couldn't actually use the medicine on it, so she just scattered it. The medicine partially worked, making Examon big enough for Venusmon to finally see it. While it was still tiny, the medicine seemed to have a continuous effect, so Examon wanted to move to a larger place. Venusmon followed as she wanted to see the medicine's effect.
Outside the house, Examon kept growing bigger, now being around the same size as the Agent. Then, a group formed of a Herakle Kabuterimon and a duo of Kuwagamon who intended to bully Examon because they were bigger showed up. Venusmon recognized them as remnants of the Titans and ordered them to leave but Herakle Kabuterimon refused and even threatened them with more of their kin showing up. Examon was not scared and, in fact, wanted to make them pay, even if it meant fighting in its smaller form and far from full strength. Venusmon thanked it and decided to join the fight as well. During the fight, Venusmon can use Holy Light III.
After the fight, Examon returned to its original, massive size, and it was happy about it despite the efforts it took to become small. Both Examon and Venusmon were also surprised by how strong the Titan remnants were. This made Examon realize it needed to work harder so it decided to return to the rendezvous spot. Before it did, however, Venusmon told it its original size suited it best, which made it bashful.
In the Akashic Abyss in "The Final Battle over the Natural Order", Venusmon shows the Agent's party that Neptunemon is fighting against a copy Leviamon of the Seven Great Demon Lords, but tells them to prioritize rescuing and treating their injured allies over helping him, as Neptunemon was losing because he had to both protect said allies while also fighting. Misono Inori decided to stay with Venusmon as she felt she'll be most useful there while the rest continue on to Chronomon. Venusmon then joins the party as a level 60 Digimon with the X-Aura, Holy Light III and Meditator Attachment Skills, as they go to the medical team, led by the talkative Kamemon. After accepting Kamemon's plan, the party cotninued forward, helping the injured along the way, until they got to Neptunemon and Leviamon. Venusmon confirmed to Neptunemon that the injured were safe now so Neptunemon could focus on fighting. However, knowing how strong the Seven Great Demon Lords were, Neptunemon asked the Agent's group for their help. Glad they were willing to help, Neptunemon stated he treasured their meeting eight years ago and would now fight together to protect the world.
After the fight, Neptunemon thanked the Agent and Aegiomon for saving him so many times but pointed out they had to deal with Chronomon as soon as possible. A massive group of copies then appeared and Neptunemon and Venusmon decided to stay behind to fight them, even if it meant their deaths. Kamemon and Inori then appeared alongside the rest of the Abyss Area's Digimon, including the Titans, ready to fight alongside them, realizing the vision Neptunemon and Venusmon shared. With their confidence boosted, Neptunemon and Venusmon told the Agent's group to continue forward through one of Junomon's gates.
The Apostles of Iliad later united on Ceresmon's back. There, Venusmon told Neptunemon the world would become something no one ever wanted if Chronomon won. Neither were willing to see it happen when their wish had finally come true, and would die without regrets to protect it, together.
Mercurymon, Neptunemon and Venusmon replaced Minervamon after she got too tired to fight Chronomon, being the second wave of reinforcements the Agent got in the fight. Mercurymon put their lives on the line, Neptunemon was unwilling to let the world where they could coexist perish, and Venusmon promised to heal anyone so no one would die. During the fight, Venusmon can use Holy Light III and LOVE YOU.
After Chronomon went back in time and dealt a massive blow to everyone with Kontontaru Zetsubō, the wounded trio left, replaced by Bacchusmon, Marsmon and Vulcanusmon. After leaving though, Mercurymon entrusted the Agent with the power they had left, greatly increasing their CP.
After lowering Chronomon's HP to 0, Mervamon entrusted the Agent with her power. Now having the power of all the Apostles of Iliad and Plutomon, the Agent was able to use it in a X-Arts that released copies of all of them from the Digivice, who then combined their power. The Agent and Aegiomon fused together into Jupitermon once more and absorbed said power, then threw it in Jupitermon's hammer to Chronomon, finally deleting it.
After the fight, Ceresmon brought the Apostles of Iliad back to the proper Iliad. Jupitermon then swore to protect the world alongside them and gave them the name Olympos XII.
