Profile[edit]

"Chief of the Gear Forest village. A wine loving Digimon who rules over the settlements of the forest. It's always drunk, but it's a terrifying force on the battlefield" [4]

Bacchusmon was the Chief of the Gear Forest, served by his favorite songstress Sirenmon. Because of the location of his village, he is also the guardian of Iliad's Energy Vein. A hard partying-drinker, Bacchusmon is almost always drunk and is seemingly incompetent, but regardless an extremely powerful force who has repealed all intruders to the forest and rewarded victories with extravagant parties.

Digimon Story: Time Stranger[edit]

Yuki Dan/Yuki Kanan, Aegiomon and Misono Inori first meet him in the Gear Forest's village where he was drunk on wine. As a result, Sirenmon has to work with the party for him. They head all the way to the top of the World Tree and see that the Current of Iliad has been eroded by the Titans. They repel the Titans, and Bacchusmon arrives to the scene sober, but found that the party already driven away the invading Titans.

Realizing that the current is under attack, he calls for the entire Gear Forest village to prepare for full-blown war against the Titans, and asks the party to report to Junomon. It was also revealed that Bacchusmon was already crumbling under the pressure of having to defend a key part of Iliad, and was getting himself drunk on purpose as a form of escapism over his responsibilities, something that he has done on an increasing frequency.

8 years later, Witchmon of the Titans put all of the Gear Forest's defenders, including Bacchusmon himself, to sleep before other Titan invaders killed everyone bar Bacchusmon in the Gear Forest completely unopposed. The death of all of his beloved citizens made Bacchusmon despondent and he committed suicide by poison. Bacchusmon's death was a part of Chronomon's design, who seeked to destroy and subvert the Apostles of Iliad so they cannot prevent the Shinjuku Inferno unless if the timelines are corrected for them to be saved.

Having noticed of the importance of the Digimon, Aegiomon, Misono Inori and the Agent travelled back in time to save him after witnessing his suicide. They find Bacchusmon still asleep and trapped inside a dream world created by Titan Witchmon. After meeting him, Bacchusmon joins the party as a level 45 Digimon with Party of the Heavens, Cook of the Hell, and the Aqua Pressure III and Ocean Wave III Attachment Skills. They defeat her and wake up alongside most of the Digimon put to sleep. With Bacchusmon in tow, they arrive to the Sanctuary in time and help Sirenmon drive away the Titans. Despite Sirenmon seemingly perishing in combat and transforming into a sprout, Bacchusmon nonetheless decides to throw a victory party that Yuki, Inori and Aegiomon reveled in.

After the Agent stopped Duftmon: Leopard Mode's rampage, in the side mission "Find a Lead Vocalist!", Bacchusmon decided to throw another party and wanted to get a band for it. The Kabuterimon at his side had already made a choir but had no lead vocalist and Bacchusmon wanted Tonosama Gekomon for the role so he sent the Agent as a scout to the Sanctuary to get him. Duftmon, who had moved to the Village, decided to join the Agent as it was interested in his prowess as a lead vocalist. After recruiting him, the group returned to the village, where Bacchusmon asked Tonosama Gekomon to sing to his heart's content, backed up by a chorus composed of a Gekomon and a Sunflowmon. Bacchusmon was greatly pleased with their song, to the point that he refused to let the Agent sing along. Their voices also became something for Duftmon to protect, and thus, it finally decided to protect the world and left for the rendezvous point.

The Agent met with Bacchusmon after defeating Demon in the Akashic Records in "The Final Battle over the Natural Order". He was eating and drinking at the time, which got Griffomon and Piccolomon to criticize him. Unfazed, Bacchusmon invited the Agent's group to join the party. Griffomon and Bacchusmon explained they were looking for Chronomon but couldn't continue as the path was blocked by Chronomon's wings, which would take more strength to break than what a sober Bacchusmon had, hence why he was drinking. Griffomon didn't know that, so to help Bacchusmon, he asked the Agent's group to get red fruit from a nearby tree while he made sure Bacchusmon didn't fall asleep. The fruit's heat helped Bacchusmon, but now he wanted something cold instead, so Griffomon asked the gruop to get a blue fruit this time. After that, he wanted something pungent so Griffomon sent the group to get a purple fruit that looked poisonous as the last one as they had taken too much time already. While the Agent, Lotusmon, Rosemon, and Griffomon fought Lilithmon; Inori and Aegiomon got Bacchusmon the purple fruit, leaving Piccolomon to keep Bacchusmon awake by itself, though its endless lecturing had the opposite effect. With his stomach finally filled and his strength back, Bacchusmon destroyed Chronomon's wing, letting the group proceed. After reminscing about how disappointed Sirenmon would be in them if they got stuck there, Bacchusmon and Griffomon told the Agent's group to continue forward and meet Neptunemon on the way, who they were separated from by the wing, using Whamon to reach him. Bacchusmon would join them after he ate more as he had used all his energy, with his subordinates staying with him.

During the fight against Chronomon, after he went back in time and dealt a massive blow to the Agent's party, Mercurymon, Neptunemon and Venusmon with Kontontaru Zetsubō, the wounded trio left, replaced by Bacchusmon, Marsmon and Vulcanusmon. Bacchusmon promised to throw the greatest party ever after they won, Vulcanusmon was glad he'd be free to test all the prototypes he had built, and Marsmon was ready to test everything he had learned from Callismon. After leaving though, Mercurymon entrusted the Agent with the power they had left, greatly increasing their CP. During this fight, Bacchusmon can use Aqua Pressure III and Cook of the Hell.

Chronomon repeated the same time warp/Kontontaru Zetsubō again, forcing this trio to retreat as well, this time replaced with Plutomon and Junomon. Just like before, Bacchusmon gave the Agent the power they had left, once again greatly increasing their CP.

After lowering Chronomon's HP to 0, Mervamon entrusted the Agent with her power. Now having the power of all the Apostles of Iliad and Plutomon, the Agent was able to use it in a X-Arts that released copies of all of them from the Digivice, who then combined their power. The Agent and Aegiomon fused together into Jupitermon once more and absorbed said power, then threw it in Jupitermon's hammer to Chronomon, finally deleting it.

After the fight, Ceresmon brought the Apostles of Iliad back to the proper Iliad. Jupitermon then swore to protect the world alongside them and gave them the name Olympos XII.
