Junomon, also translated as Yunomon[1], is the Area Guardian of the Guardian Palace and one of the Apostles of Iliad in Digimon Story: Time Stranger.

Junomon is the caretaker of the Digitama that would later hatch into Great Guardian Aegiomon and overseers the gate between the Iliad and the human world, and is also known as "the Oracle" of Iliad. Fitting for her position, she can open Digital Gates that allow movement between Iliad and the human world by herself. Despite appearing as outwardly benevolent, if anyone attempts to separate her from Aegiomon in any form or way, she will fly into a violent rage where she loses control of the Digital Gates and opens them across Iliad, drawing countless Digimon into the human world.
Her usual voice is serene and motherly, but when enraged, it becomes loud and booming with an added echo effect.
Eleven years ago (three years prior to start of the game), a Digimon attack (the same one shown during Digimon Story: Time Stranger Prelude) forced Junomon to apply more stringent limits to sending Digimon to it.

At the end of the Digimon attack, Junomon appeared personally in the human world to secure Aegiomon's Digitama. She then placed it in the Temple of Beginnings.

Yuki Dan/Yuki Kanan first meets Junomon in the throne room of the Guardian Palace, 8 years prior to the present day in hopes of returning to the human world where they belong. She praises Aegiomon and his role as Iliad's great guardian, then tells them the story of Chronomon. However, her constant pushing of Aegiomon of his role as the Great Guardian of Iliad left him confused and bewildered. Seeing that the protagonist and Misono Inori want to return to the human world, Junomon strikes a deal with them that if they help Aegiomon to suppress the Titans in the Abyss Area and the Gear Forest, she will send them back to the human world. Aegiomon and the two agreed to the deal as it was their only shot at going back home.
After suppressing the attacks on the Abyss Area and the Gear Forest, the party returns to the Guardian Palace to report to Junomon, but the palace was under attack by the Titans for Chronomon's Treasure. The Titans manage to break the barrier, but the commanders of the assault, Orgemon, Fugamon and Hyougamon were defeated. However, Titamon intervenes personally, knocks Junomon down the throne, and attempts to take the treasure. Junomon gives the treasure to the protagonist instead and asks them to escape through a gate back to the human world with Inori, but demands Aegiomon to remain in the Digital World. Aegiomon's strong bond with Inori made him refuse, causing her to go berserk with rage and create Digital Gates across the Digital World that sucked both the Titans and the party alongside countless other Digimon into the human world trying to isolate Aegiomon off from Inori and Yuki, inadvertently kickstarting the series of tragedies that followed suit. It was heavily indicated that she went completely insane over losing Aegiomon and isolated herself and the Guardian Palace from the rest of Iliad afterwards.
Shortly after Iliad was largely compromised by the Titans and Chronomon no longer had any use for Plutomon, he turned Plutomon into Zombie Plutomon, then took advantage of Junomon's attachment and jealousy towards Aegiomon and possessed her. Chronomon used Junomon as a vessel for the final preparations for his plan to start a three-way war in the human world so Aegiomon will slay him out of despair. Through her, Chronomon deceived Dianamon into delivering Digimon to humans under the pretext that they were emissaries to mend human-Digimon relations and asked her to teach them about the genetic structures of Digimon. In actuality, all of the Digimon Dianamon sent to the human world and the knowledge she passed to the humans were used for government experiments to build the Giant Slayer. Once Dianamon found out the deception, she asked Minervamon what to do, but Junomon caught wind of the conversation and imprisoned Minervamon. It was also heavily implied that Chronomon used her to take control of the Titans in Plutomon's stead and used her power to conjure Digital Gates that summoned them into the human world.
Dianamon tells all of this to the Agent and Apollomon once they defeat her and question her role towards the conspiracy. She, Apollomon and the Agent all go and question Junomon, now appearing as Junomon: Hysteric Mode. She refuses any inquiries, and Pumpmon exposes himself to be a traitor working for Chronomon to prevent Apollomon and Dianamon from ever coming together. Junomon: Hysteric Mode then knocks them out using Lingrudge and imprisons the party in the Guardian Palace's prison ward. Once the Agent and Minervamon break free with help of the Titans and return, she mistakes them for Aegiomon (the Agent was slowly disintegrating back into their true form as an Aegiochusmon: Dark shadow) and attacks them.
In her boss battle, Junomon: Hysteric Mode has two actions per turn and can use Nightmare III, Hell Crusher III, Shine Burst III, Panic Wisp, and Idle Bubble. To make up for her relatively weak attacks, a stronger version of the Iliad Temple's Sealing Spell passive will activate. The passive cuts the active party's speed by half at the start of the battle as usual, but will incur further debuffs if Junomon: Hysteric Mode's HP is lowered. It lowers both the active and reserve party's all other stats by 10% and prevents the player from using items when her HP drops by a quarter, lowers them by 30% when she has half health, and cuts them by half when her HP drops to a quarter. The stat debuffs can be removed by skill effects, but do not go away on their own, meaning that if the player has no way to get rid of the debuffs, their Digimon's attacks will become increasingly ineffective while Junomon: Hysteric Mode's otherwise weak attacks become increasingly dangerous. She is doubly weak to Holy, weak to Plant, resists Electric and nulls Dark (same as playable version), has the "Medium", "Olympos XII", "God" and "Human" genes, and is affected by Paralysis/Immobilization.
While charging, Junomon HM (Lances) becomes targettable, which is weak to Ice and Null, resists Dark, and blocks Light and magic. If the party fails to break her lances, she will cast special versions of Welcome Lost or Lingrudge that damage the entire party. These attacks are powerful enough to instantly kill nearly any Digimon even when they are guarding, especially if they are already debuffed by the Sealing Spell or on very high difficulties.
The protagonist defeats her and expels Chronomon from her body. Once she regains her senses, she had no recollection of what she has done prior and explains to the party about Chronomon's true, sinister nature.
She was then transported to Rebellion Village, where she continued to mistake the Agent for Aegiomon and connected a gate that leads towards Chronomon. When the protagonist and Aegiomon evolved into Jupitermon and united the Olympos XII against Chronomon, Junomon was amongst one of its members present in the gathering.
After going through one of her gates in "The Final Battle over the Natural Order", the Agent's party found Junomon alongside Vulcanusmon in Akashic Oblivion. There, Vulcanusmon explained Junomon had created a gate that would lead them to Chronomon so they used all their available technology to build a special bridge to get to it safely. However, before they could complete it, valuable batteries were stolen by some Tsumemon. Because the bridge was invisible thanks to its stealth technology, they couldn't get through it to get to the Tsumemon, so they sent the Agent to do it instead. After the Agent recovered the Special Battery; Vulcanusmon, Kokuwamon A and Kokuwamon Un completed the bridge, but then a copy of Lucemon: Satan Mode of the Seven Great Demon Lords appeared. Junomon knew it was an assassin sent by the Akashic Records and believed they could beat a mere facsimile if they worked together. During the fight, Junomon can use Shine Burst III and Needle Hive.
After the fight, Junomon and Vulcanusmon decided to stay behind to defend the gate.
The Apostles of Iliad later united on Ceresmon's back. If the Agent speaks to her, she will reminisce about the joy she felt at seeing Aegiomon hatch from his Digitama, proof her love was real even if she had been manipulated by Chronomon. Her determination to stop Chronomon's scheme, even at the cost of her life, came from rejecting the idea that said love had been a mistake.
After Chronomon went back in time and dealt a massive blow to everyone with Kontontaru Zetsubō for the second time, forcing Bacchusmon, Marsmon and Vulcanusmon to retreat as well, they were replaced by Plutomon and Junomon. Plutomon swore to emerge victorious on his pride as a Titan while Junomon wished to fight alongside Aegiomon, who she had watched over for years. Just like before, Bacchusmon gave the Agent the power they had left, once again greatly increasing their CP. During the fight, Junomon can use Holy Light III and Needle Hive.
The same situation repeated for a third time, but no one replaced the fallen duo immediately and they did not give any energy to the Agent.
After lowering Chronomon's HP to 0, Mervamon entrusted the Agent with her power. Now having the power of all the Apostles of Iliad and Plutomon, the Agent was able to use it in a X-Arts that released copies of all of them from the Digivice, who then combined their power. The Agent and Aegiomon fused together into Jupitermon once more and absorbed said power, then threw it in Jupitermon's hammer to Chronomon, finally deleting it.
After the fight, Ceresmon brought the Apostles of Iliad back to the proper Iliad. Jupitermon then swore to protect the world alongside them and gave them the name Olympos XII.
