Profile[edit]
Before evolving, Bearmon (Younger Brother) can be told apart from Bearmon (Older Brother) from his more "shy" expression and introverted demeanor. He is also smaller than his elder brother and has lighter-colored fur.
After becoming Grappu Leomon, he became far more reckless and aggressive, with extreme hatred for the Titans. He became more humble and modest after becoming Marsmon, however.

Digimon Story: Time Stranger[edit]
Bearmon (Younger Brother) is the timid and hesitant little brother of Bearmon (Older Brother). The two live in Central Town and are known for causing trouble.
They were first seen goading Coronamon into following them into the sewers to fight the Titans rumored to be down there (Orgemon, Fugamon and Hyougamon), only to be quickly defeated. The younger brother requested Yuki Dan/Yuki Kanan, Misono Inori, Aegiomon and Minervamon to save his elder brother and Coronamon. The party arrives to the bottom of the sewers, defeats the Titans and saves the two Digimon.
The Bearmons wanted to hunt for Titans in Gear Forest in the side mission "The Mighty Bearmon Brothers". However, the Agent had already defeated the Titans in that area. Bearmon (Older Brother) refused to believe it and ran away on his own, so Bearmon (Younger Brother) asked them for help in fighting the remains of the Titans in the area. After the Agent and the younger brother defeated Minotaurmon, an old leader of the Titans, they teamed up with the older brother to fight a Greymon. After defeating Greymon, the brothers made a pact to reunite if they ever separated, and buried it in the World Tree. Their adventures would become legends in the Digital World: Iliad, reaching at least one other pair of brothers (the Drimogemon brothers) who took them as their inspiration.
Some time between the 8 years after the Titans attacked the human world, the brothers are separated in a successful invasion against Central Town. The younger brother flees to Rebellion Village in the human world and developed a hatred against the Titans, vowing to become strong enough to fight against them and avenge his brother. Eventually, he evolved into Grappu Leomon. Growing frustrated by Mercurymon's attempts at negotiation Grappu Leomon started the Shinjuku Underground Arena as a way to strengthen Digimon to eventually fight against the Titans, and became the champion of the arena.
After learning the truth about both brothers, Dan/Kanan, Inori, and Aegiomon enter the Shinjuku Underground Arena to get to him.
Grappu Leomon is the last fight of the Shinjuku Underground Arena and a boss fight in "The Destruction of All Order". Apart from normal attacks, he can use Nanomachine Break III, Tempest III and Shishi Jūhazan. He is weak to Plant, and resists Ice and Electricity.
After being declared the new champions, Aegiomon asked Grappu Leomon if he remembered them, which he at first didn't but soon realized who the humans were. After Grappu Leomon explained why he formed the Shinjuku Underground Arena and how he believed his big brother was still alive and wanted to find him, Aegiomon told him said big brother had become the undisputed champion of the High-Rise Colosseum and one of the Titans, Callismon. While this greatly angered Grappu Leomon, they managed to convince him to go with them to confront his older brother instead of doing something risky. However, before they could, Inori received a call from Sagisaka Hiroko who wanted to tell her something. Grappu Leomon needed to make preparations as well, so the group separated.
In the original timeline, the party is held up by Hiroko and thus failed to keep Grappu Leomon in check. As a result, he ignores the party's advice and went straight to confronting his older brother alone. He goes to the arena and challenges Bearmon (Older Brother), who is now Callismon. Before the fighting starts, Grappu Leomon tries to appeal to Callismon, but he goes berserk, killing him and attacking the audience. This prevents the emergence of Marsmon, which would result in Aegiomon colliding with the Giant Slayer and destroying the world through the resulting outburst.
When the party returns back in time, they refused Hiroko's invitation and instead stayed in the colosseum to convince Grappu Leomon to fight Callismon with them, allowing them to put Grappu Leomon's personality flaws in check after convincing him of the value of family. This makes him join the party as a level 35 Digimon with the Nanomachine Break II and Wind Claw II Attachment Skills. Together, they fought in the High-Rise Colosseum to reach Callismon. As they fought, Grappu Leomon grew more and more tired, though he refused to stop fighting anyways as he wanted to stop his brother himself, no matter what Inori or Aegiomon thought. As such, after beating the fourth round, he called out his brother, which caused Callismon to burst into the arena. Despite his berserk state and different look, Grappu Leomon knew that was his brother and attempted to talk to him, but Callismon goes berserk and attacks them. Realizing what happened to his elder brother, his resolve to fight is strengthened, causing him to evolve into Marsmon, who lands the final blow. Callismon asks his brother to make sure that other Digimon don't turn out like he did before seemingly dying.
After defeating Callismon, Marsmon was left saddened after killing his brother and wondered if he could really protect anything. With no other ideas, he asked the Agent what humans did in that situation and they told him to watch a movie, something Marsmon had no knowledge of. This starts the side mission "How to Cheer Up a Warrior", where the Agent brings Marsmon to the Real World to meet up with Hiroko, the movie expert. The first movie Hiroko had him watch was "Yesterday's George", a movie about a pro boxer who nearly killed his opponent[N 1] - which only made Marsmon feel even worse as he could relate to that. However, since George got over it, Marsmon thought he could too and went back to the Shinjuku Underground Arena. There, he challenged the Agent to a fight.
Marsmon is the boss of the side mission "How to Cheer Up a Warrior". Apart from normal attacks, he can use Wind Claw III, Lunatic Gate III, Corona Sanctions. He is weak to Ice and Water, resists Fire and immune to Null.
Even though he admitted he fought well, Marsmon realized he was still scared of his full strength after his fight with Callismon. The fight had also gotten Marsmon hungry, so the Agent took him to Subroad. After eating a lot, Marsmon remembered how his brother once told him to eat so he could grow big and strong to protect Iliad. He then told the Agent to meet him in the High-Rise Colosseum where he'd go all-out.
Afterwards, Marsmon took over operations in the High-Rise Colosseum. He is one of the Digimon present during the formation of the Olympos XII, becoming one of its members.
After defeating the Barbamon copy in the Akashic Records in "The Final Battle over the Natural Order", the Agent, Inori and Aegiomon found Marsmon protecting Pegasmon from a group of Chimairamon and Mugendramon copies led by a copy of Demon of the Seven Great Demon Lords. Knowing Marsmon couldn't hold out much longer, they joined him in the fight. They then fought a Chimairamon and a Mugendramon. Deleting the duo was useless however as Demon just summoned another pair of Mugendramon. Knowing the situation was hopeless, Marsmon wanted Pegasmon to carry the Agent and the rest out while he held the copies back, but Aegiomon refused to leave. Callismon then joined them, to Marsmon's surprise. Callismon told him to leave the sentimental reunion for later however as the enemy was changing their formation, with two Chimairamon and two Mugendramon performing Jogress into a pair of Millenniumon. The reunited Bearmon Brothers then joined the Agent in facing the Demon and Millenniumon copies. During these fights, Marsmon can use Heavy Strike III, Wind Claw III, Corona Sanctions and Mugenhadō.
After the fight, Marsmon was still incredulous that the Digimon in front of him truly was his older brother. Callismon confirmed he was and that he was proud of Marsmon. Callismon explained Venusmon had treated him and never gave up on him, although he wasn't fully healed yet. Callismon explained once again that Chronomon had fused with the Akashic Records so enemies would endlessly come after them, so he'd stay and hold them back while the rest continued, as payback for them saving him. Marsmon, however, was angry at Callismon just giving up on his life even if he saw it as penance for killing many in the arena. Marsmon angrily stated he had worked hard on his own so he wouldn't need to be protected by his brother anymore, so he wouldn't take any orders from him either. Therefore, he would stay back and watch Callismon's back. However, unlike Callismon, he was determined to see both of them live. Several more copies then appeared and Callismon accepted his little brother's wish.
The Apostles of Iliad later united on Ceresmon's back. There, Marsmon joked about how strange it was that the mischievous Bearmon Brothers ended up being present at the moment that would decide the fate of the world. He then explained Callismon had used up all his strength and was resting now so the older brother had entrusted the younger one with beating Chronomon up. Callismon's belief in Marsmon's strength gave him confidence.
During the fight against Chronomon, after he went back in time and dealt a massive blow to the Agent's party, Mercurymon, Neptunemon and Venusmon with Kontontaru Zetsubō, the wounded trio left, replaced by Bacchusmon, Marsmon and Vulcanusmon. Bacchusmon promised to throw the greatest party ever after they won, Vulcanusmon was glad he'd be free to test all the prototypes he had built, and Marsmon was ready to test everything he had learned from Callismon. After leaving though, Mercurymon entrusted the Agent with the power they had left, greatly increasing their CP. During this fight, Marsmon can use Heavy Strike III, Wind Claw III, and Corona Sanctions.
Chronomon repeated the same time warp/Kontontaru Zetsubō again, forcing this trio to retreat as well, this time replaced with Plutomon and Junomon. Just like before, Bacchusmon gave the Agent the power they had left, once again greatly increasing their CP.
After lowering Chronomon's HP to 0, Mervamon entrusted the Agent with her power. Now having the power of all the Apostles of Iliad and Plutomon, the Agent was able to use it in a X-Arts that released copies of all of them from the Digivice, who then combined their power. The Agent and Aegiomon fused together into Jupitermon once more and absorbed said power, then threw it in Jupitermon's hammer to Chronomon, finally deleting it.
After the fight, Ceresmon brought the Apostles of Iliad back to the proper Iliad. Jupitermon then swore to protect the world alongside them and gave them the name Olympos XII.
Marsmon is also the final opponent fought in the "Greatest Ω (Omega) Carnival" side mission. When fought there, Marsmon has abnormally high stats and is completely immune to all debuffs [N 2] and negative statuses, including ones that are usually unresisted. He has the moves Lunatic Gate III, Wind Claw III, Attack Charge, Accel Boost, Spirit (boosts all stats), Mugenhadō and Corona Sanctions and has four actions per turn. A team of Data Types at level 80 or higher with 5000 or above on each stat is strongly recommended for this encounter, and a proper strategy is required. All of his affinities remain identical to his prior sidequest encounter.
