A select number of Royal Knights will sometimes recruit Digimon from where they are dispatched to as allies in order to execute their assigned missions. The way they obtain these allies varies depending on the nature of the mission, but Craniummon is said to acquire allies as its subordinates by challenging Digimon it recognizes as formidable to one-on-one combat and making them submit. This Riding Mode is a form where Craniummon recruited Enbarrmon as its mount after defeating it during a certain mission. It seems that the perfectionist Craniummon had its eyes on Enbarrmon's mobility in order to carry out its missions more efficiently. Although they had a relationship where they waged fierce battles against one another, they acknowledged each other's strengths and built a strong, trusting relationship, which resulted in them gaining astounding mobility and offensive power. Its Special Move is a charging thrust from the Claíomh Solais with Enbarrmon running at full speed (Ruthless Charge). Due to Enbarrmon's charging power at maximum speed, combined with the mass of the two Digimon, and Craniummon's physical strength, most of the Digimon that get stabbed are scattered without leaving any trace. Also, the "never die" protection that is bestowed upon Enbarrmon's riders affected Craniummon's magic shield "Avalon", and its "God Bless", an omnidirectional defense used only while mounted, no longer has the three-second time limit and permanently negates any attack.

Digimon Story: Time Stranger[edit]

After Craniummon defeated Enbarrmon in the side mission "Showdown with the Immortal Steed", the latter allowed the former to ride it, so they both evolved into this form. Enbarrmon wondered if Craniummon was too heavy or if itself was too weak, while Craniummon felt more powerful than ever. Plutomon was pleasantly surprised by the result, as it just intended to rebuke Enbarrmon for a recent rampage. The new duo then left for the rendezvous point with the other Royal Knights.

After clearing all of the Royal Knights and Sagisaka Hiroko side missions, Craniummon + Enbarrmon can be fought in the "Royal Knights Test Match". It has the skills Ruthless Charge, Tempest III, Wind Claw III, Crush Blade III and Lunatic Gate III.

All the Royal Knights showed up to fight Chronomon, destroying his Kotowari no Kyozetsu barrier with a barrage of their signature moves, then left. This was necessary, as said barrier could not be broken by anyone who lived under the rules of Iliad, but the Royal Knights were from another world and the situation was desperate enough to allow them to interfere with the natural order of Iliad.

Craniummon + Enbarrmon is also an obtainable Digimon. It Jogress evolves from Craniummon and Enbarrmon.
