A Penmon is an inhabitant of Asunaro Village. Over at the meat field in "Asunaro Meat", Tanemon confirmed that they had succeded at selectively growing meat, while Kodou Ritsu was shocked at seeing a field of meat, which was also observed by other Digimon from the village: on one side, two Agumon, a Penmon, a Mochimon, a Tunomon, and a Koromon; on the other, a Chicomon, a Betamon, a Tokomon, a third Agumon, and a Poyomon.
In "Orgemon Invasion", Orgemon ate a big plate of Asunaro Meat, which Koemon handled, while Tanemon, Tokomon, Punimon, two Koromon, Chicomon, Poyomon, Penmon, two Agumon and Mochimon stared at them in fear. Orgemon proceeded to take the meat with him, but Tanemon tried to stop him, as the meat was made for the Digimon of the village so they'd grow strong and evolve.

Digimon World[edit]
Penmon appears as an obtainable Child-level Vaccine type Digimon in Digimon World. This game marks the debut of Penmon in the franchise.
A Penmon NPC is found in the southeast of Freezeland and challenges you to a match of Curling in its cave and if you win, opens up a curling rink in the Colosseum of the city. However if you lose, you must bring Penmon any kind of fishes such as Digi-Anchovies or Black Trouts before starting another curling match. If you recruit Penmon, you also need to bring him fishes as a fee to play curling with it, and if you win, Penmon will give you a random item. Penmon will only appear if you recruit Greymon to the city. If Metal Mamemon has been recruited to the city, Metal Mamemon will sometimes replace Penmon and play Curling against the Player instead
Tunomon evolves into Penmon after 24 in-game hours have elapsed only if its MP, Defense and Brains stats are higher as opposed to Elecmon's HP, Offense and Speed stat requirement. Penmon can also evolve into 9 different types of Digimon depending on the stats and Care Mistakes made:
- Yukidarumon
- Mojyamon
- Garurumon
- Whamon
- Shellmon
- Numemon (When you do not meet requirements for any other evolutions and at least 4 days have elapsed).
- Scumon (When its Poop meter is full).
- Nanimon (When you scold it and it has zero happiness and discipline gauge).
- Bakemon (Death Evolution. When it fights against another Digimon and loses a heart. This has a random 10% chance of happening so its reccomended to save before trying it).
Finishing Technique - Mugen Binta:
Upon contact with the enemy, Penmon will freeze its right wing and slap the enemy with it.

Deep in Mangrove Forest, the Player finds Pagumon being hurt by two Penmon (Penta and Penkichi) and a Kiwimon (Kiwii) led by a Delumon, entirely because Pagumon irritates Delumon. The Player jumps to defend Pagumon, so Delumon decides to pick on them instead, and sends their lackeys to do so. After they're beaten, Delumon calls them useless and fights the Player themself. After being defeated, Delumon asks for forgiveness and explains that Pagumon reminds them of a Digimon that bullied them. The Player tells they shouldn't pick on those weaker than themself and they agree, then orders their lackeys to do so too. Afterwards, they all leave.
