Plot Summary[edit]

During summer vacation, Hikari and Takeru go to visit Mimi in New York. While they are emailing photos back to Japan, Hikari senses a crying Digimon nearby. At the same time Mimi's digivice beeps and she, along with all the other original Chosen Children, mysteriously vanish into thin air.

Wallace, in the meanwhile is running away from Wendimon. Hikari senses Wendimon's presence and she and Takeru go to investigate, hoping to find a link to Mimi's disappearance. Through a chain-link fence, they witness Wallace attempting to reason with Wendimon, only to have the Digimon mysteriously disappear as well.

Patamon chases Wallace in order to find out if he had something to do with Mimi's disappearance. Patamon spots Wallace making a phone call to his mother, saying that he's going to a place called Summer Memory. Meanwhile, Hikari contacts Daisuke and co back in Japan and they agree to meet Hikari and Takeru in America.

On their way to Summer Memory, Hikari and Takeru's train is stopped by Wendimon and all the passengers on the train disappear.

Miyako, Iori, and Daisuke hitch a plane ride to Denver. Daisuke then negotiates with a truck driver and they manage to get a ride. In the back of the semi they meet Wallace and Terriermon. While Daisuke is poking fun at Wallace for being a mama's boy, they are ditched by Miyako and Iori, leaving them stranded in the middle of nowhere.

Wendimon appears once more, only to have Daisuke and V-mon rush headlong into battle. Wallace halts the battle and asks Wendimon why he took the Chosen Children. Wendimon attacks and Terriermon evolves to defend Wallace once more. Despite Wallace's efforts to stop the fighting, Wendimon ends up disappearing once more with Wallace promising to meet him at the flower field.

V-mon finally comes up with the brilliant plan to turn into Lighdramon and they ride their way to Summer Memory where they meet up with Miyako and Iori. After Wallace refuses once more to explain the situation, they head to the flower field and decide to camp there to wait for Wendimon.

Daisuke decides to finally confront Wallace about Chocomon, making Wallace admit that Chocomon is indeed his Digimon. Wallace explains that three years prior, Chocomon disappeared while they were playing in the field and has been following Wallace since. Daisuke empathizes with Wallace, saying that he wouldn't be able to fight V-mon if the same thing happened to him. Wallace comforts Daisuke and says there's still a chance that Chocomon might return to normal.

Morning comes and Wendimon appears at the field. Wendimon attempts to turn time back so that it could be with Wallace once more, but Wallace refuses and Wendimon goes into a rage and evolve into Andiramon. After a rather short fight, Antiramon evolves once more into Cherubimon. All the Digimon are reverted back to Child form and are unable to evolve. Just as the situation turns really bad, Hikari and Takeru arrive to help with Angemon and Angewomon. Cherubimon dissolves, turning everything into a dark void. The group is then turned into children, and Angemon and Angewomon evolve to to Seraphimon and Holydramon respectively. Although they are quickly defeated, they unlock Wallace and Daisuke's Digimentals of Fate and Miracles. Terriermon and V-mon both evolve again into Rapidmon and Magnamon.

Cherubimon eats Rapidmon and Magnamon, and leaving the remaining Digimon to fend for themselves. Rapidmon and Magnamon proceed to destroy Cherubimon from the inside-out. Cherubimon, now healed, fades away.

Wallace says his farewells to the group, but not without kissing Hikari and Miyako on the cheek. The movie ends when Wallace and Terriermon see Chocomon's Digitama wash up onto the shore.
