English[edit]

  • In the Japanese version, the Gokimon brothers are very polite with one another. But, after they are no longer under Ken’s control, they start fighting, implying that their politeness was just a side effect of the Evil Rings. In the dub, they constantly bicker with each other from the beginning, and thus, the joke at the end is removed.
  • The Gekomon and Otamamon constantly refer to Mimi as “Princess Mimi” in the dub. No such thing is present in the Japanese version, as Mimi previously told them to stop calling her that in the original series.
  • Miyako’s Utena-influenced dream is retained in the dub, but is rewritten to be about her wish to live in a beautiful house with Mimi.
