English[edit]
- The dub claims that Ken's full name is "Kenneth" Ichijouji.
- The audio of the TV show that Daisuke's parents are watching is removed in the dub, presumably because it could not be isolated from the Japanese audio. A similar change happens later when Miyako's dad changes the channel on his TV. In that case, the channel he switches to is muted by the dub.
- Gekomon's verbal tic of "geko" is not carried over to the dub. Instead, he is given a lisp.
- Hawkmon makes a reference to the aforementioned show that Miyako was watching earlier. The dub changes this to Hawkmon remarking that the area looks like the "Samurai Era" of Japan, something he should have no knowledge of in the Digital World.
- Hikari's reference to the Kyoto Uzumasa Studio (an Toei attraction featuring a recreation of feudal Japan) is removed in the dub. She instead makes a generic reference to a TV show set.
- The shots of Patamon and Armadimon attacking the Floramon are removed in the dub.
- The dub inaccurately refers to Igamon's shuriken as a "dart".
- The Otamamon are also missing their verbal tics in the dub.
- Miyako's fear of the earthquake is toned down to a remark about her brother waking up in the morning.
- The dub accidentally claims that Takeru has seen TonosamaGekomon in action before, when in reality, he was still with Yamato and Koushiro in that particular episode.
- Portions of Igamon and Shurimon's duel are cut from the dub.
