Hacker
A hacker (ハッカー, Hakkā) is someone with the ability to force an item, program, or system to deviate from its intended programming to satisfy their own desires.
A malicious hacker once managed to disrupt the Computer Network, and it was still being repaired when Coelamon was discovered[1], while the evil feelings of hackers who abuse the Network produced Devidramon.[2] Octmon was discovered from the virus that a fiendish hacker used to crash a rival's research computer.[3] Although the Firewall prevents illegal entries from hackers, the very defenders of the Network are subject to being taken advantage of themselves as was the case with Guardromon, who was originally a Digimon that worked alongside Giromon in repelling those who try to illegally enter the Network until a malicious hacker infected it with a computer virus and was subsequently used by that hacker as means of protection from the Virus Busters.[4] Tekkamon is said to have been created by an evil hacker to destroy programs in response to Giromon.[5]
The term does not necessarily imply malicious intent. Depending on the setting, hackers may use their abilities to commit crimes, investigate incidents, or oppose other hackers. In Digimon Seekers, a distinction is made between hackers, who possess exceptional computer-related skills, and crackers, who are willing to undertake illegal or legally ambiguous activities.[6]

He subsequently uses the command "Protect" to defend Peckmon against Greymon. When Greymon succeeds in breaking through this defense, Knight orders Peckmon to disable the Battle Terminal, immobilizing Greymon and leaving it vulnerable to a direct attack.

Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth[edit]
The Kuremi Detective Agency took a job related to their clients' accounts being stolen in a low floor of Cyberspace EDEN, which Aiba Takumi recognized as a case of account hacking. After breaking through a firewall in Coulomb, Takumi was dragged into a portal that appeared from behind it, which shifted them to another space. Said space was a secret base of the hacker group Demons, where Takumi found a lot of data of stolen accounts, and was attacked by a Growmon controlled by them. The Hackers decided to take his account and Digimon. Takumi asked them why they stole accounts. The spiky-haired Hacker answered him, saying they could use the stolen accounts to disguise themselves and do criminal acts without repercussions, how the Cyberspace existed for them, and how, with an enormous amount of accounts and Digimon, they could control the Cyberspace and, eventually, the Real World as well. They were unable to steal Takumi's account with their Cyclomon as his body was half-digitized. A battle then happened between both sides, which Takumi won, however, before Takumi could take them to justice, an Eater (Purebreed Mode) appeared from behind them and absorbed them, leaving Takumi in a state of shock.

Leviathan abducts Hajime and converts him into data as an experimental test of the Humanity Applification Plan, storing his data inside Fakemon's body. After Fakemon is defeated, Revivemon restores Hajime's data and returns him to human form, allowing the brothers to reunite.

His Betamon, Tentomon, and Gottsumon are initially outmatched, but evolve into Seadramon, Kabuterimon, and Golemon, respectively. The other members of Hudie arrive, and Ryuji's Cyberdramon joins the battle. Together, they defeat the opposing hackers and force them to release the captive Digimon.
Digimon Seekers ~Wall Slum's Nightmare~[edit]
In Episode 1, Leon Alexander explained to Nagasumi Eiji (both of which are themselves hackers and crackers) that he was investigating the unusual ocurrences in Wall Slum as a malicious cracker or hacker could be behind them. Orochimon hates hackers for how they harmed Digimon in Wall Slum.
Novel[edit]
Digimon Seekers[edit]
Hackers are individuals with exceptional computer-related skills, while crackers are hackers who accept illegal or legally ambiguous work. Their activities can include capturing Digimon for clients and trading them through online networks. At the beginning of the story, Nagasumi Eiji uses a group of Tyranomon to pursue and capture other Digimon, configuring their tools and issuing commands through a portable device.
GriMM serves as an important platform for gathering information, arranging jobs, and conducting transactions. Alongside its ordinary communication functions, it supports an underground market in illegally captured Digimon and modified Digimon Docks. Hackers and crackers store their Digimon in devices collectively known as Digimon Docks, many of which are modified commercial electronic terminals of varying quality.
The Digimon Linker is an advanced, smartwatch-type Digimon Dock developed by Abadin Electronics. It supports Mindlink, a technique that converts a user's consciousness into digital data and transfers it into a Digimon's Digicore, allowing the human to act within digital space together with the Digimon.
Opposition to criminal crackers includes both independent hackers and law enforcement. Leon Alexander, operating under the name "Judge", pursues crackers responsible for digital crimes as a vigilante, while the Digipolice are a specialized police unit tasked with investigating Digimon-related crime.

He wishes to take over the world, and according to him, it is only a matter of time before he does and he has infinite time. "A" cheats when fought, hacking into the world so his deck won't be shuffled and the Player's Partner Cards are sent to the bottom of his deck. Nonetheless, he's once again defeated and loses his access. He tries hacking his way back in, only to fail, entering an infinite loop. Rosemon, the security program, then speaks, saying that she has put his current directory in her Domain, so he cannot escape anymore, and can only repeat endless math equations. "A" threatens to destroy Rosemon, but Rosemon anticipated it and cuts both herself and "A" off the world and into the space of the Net. This causes "A" to panic, as he does not want to go back there, and he begs her to stop, which proves futile.

Katsura Rei is a hacker who works alongside his Buddy Appmon, Hackmon, to gather information about the Seven Code Appmon. His methods include accessing surveillance systems, extracting privately held information, and examining other Appli Drivers' Appmon without their consent.
During the subquest "A Boy Called Rei", Rei recruits Kazuki/Itsuki to assist his investigation in Yongendori. Having already hacked the town's security cameras, he knows about their meeting with Shinkai Haru. He then enters a convenience store's system with Hackmon to examine its customer data, including records of the apps used by visitors, while Kazuki/Itsuki keeps its Cameramon occupied.
Rei subsequently approaches Libramon, an information broker at the observation plaza on Mount Yongen, seeking information about Seven Code Appmon in the surrounding areas. Unsatisfied with Libramon's answer, he orders Hackmon to access its archives while Kazuki/Itsuki distracts it. Kazuki/Itsuki objects to his methods, but Libramon discovers the intrusion and attacks. After the battle, the extracted information confirms that Libramon had been telling the truth.
When Kazuki/Itsuki threatens to stop Rei if he continues using such methods, Rei decides to examine their Appmon as well. Although he loses the ensuing battle, Hackmon completes the hacking and confirms that Kazuki/Itsuki possesses rare Appmon but no Seven Code Appmon. Having obtained the information he wanted, Rei leaves with Hackmon.

Interacting with recruited allies can strengthen their relationships with Keisuke and unlock additional items and story content.
