An Aquatic Beast Man Digimon clothed in a wetsuit. It has a cheerful personality, and is always swimming around the "Net Ocean". Its specialty is moving in the water, and in battle it uses the high-speed, underwater mobility Motor on its back, and uses a fighting style that capitalizes on its speed. Its Special Move is stabbing the enemy with its cherished harpoon, "Torrent" (Strike Fishing).

Multiple Hangyomon were the servants of the Dark Master, Metal Seadramon.

Digimon Adventure 02[edit]

In the World of Darkness, several Hangyomon appeared, but revealed their true form; the dark creatures and spoke to Hikari about their master, Dagomon. A real Hangyomon later popped up as a Partner Digimon of an Australian Chosen Child.

A Hangyomon lived in an underground water plane and was the protector of the local Otamamon.

Several Hangyomon are part of Olegmon's pirate crew in "Vikemon Ventures the Glaciers".

Olegmon and his crew of Hangyomon and Gawappamon, alongside the Babamon Digimon School students Bancho Mamemon, several Tanemon and Lalamon, and Kido Joe's servants and friends Tonosama Gekomon, Kabukimon, Blossomon, Nanimon, Gekomon and Dondokomon, reacted to the attack of a group of Soundbirdmon in "The Angels' Determination"

After Negamon was finally defeated in "The End of the Adventure", Olegmon and Tonosama Gekomon drank with each other on a ship as Kabukimon, Dondokomon, a Hangyomon and a Gawappamon partied, with a Gekomon, two Nanimon and Blossomon being with them as well.
