Because of its appearance, and since it is rarely ever seen, it shares many similarities with Marin Angemon, but the relationship between them remains unknown. Its Special Move "Ocean Hell", in which it steals the opponent's fighting spirit with an aura of endless terror akin to the darkness at the depths of the sea, sometimes reduces Digimon that suffer this technique to being Cthyllamon's puppets.
