A Bewitching Beast Digimon in the shape of a giant fox with nine tails. Although it is feared as a bewitching beast that brings about destruction and ruin, in ancient times, it was revered as a messenger that appeared in times of peace. It is said that even among Renamon, only those with the most outstanding abilities and who have amassed the most experience can evolve into Kyubimon. While its attack power isn't actually high, it in turn specializes in magical techniques that utilize its tremendous spiritual strength. It is said to even be able to sprint across the sky with its four feet blazing with blue flames. Its Signature Move is causing onibi to manifest, and manipulating them according to its will (Onibidama). Its Special Move is creating a burning dragon out of blue flames from its tails and incinerating the enemy (Koenryū).

Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode[edit]

A Tailmon and a Kyubimon are fought in the Colosseum 30th floor Free Battle: "We joined as a couple", alongside their Tamers, Carmen and Heir. This awards Taiga an Angemon and an Angewomon card.

Taiga can challenge a Renamon to a hide-and-seek game in the Train Garage of Railroad Plains after it evolves from Wanyamon in the Village of Beginnings. After beating it, Renamon evolves into Kyubimon. With its newfound maturity, it considers hide-and-seek childish and seeks something more fabulous and stylish, so it asks Taiga for a place for beauty. Taiga recommends the Big Cauldron Hall, and Kyubimon becomes interested once it hears of Wizarmon and its potions, so it leaves to go there. However, Wizarmon won't brew any potions for Kyubimon without a recipe, so it sends Taiga to get someone who can come up with them.

After separating Shibuya Aoi (in the Wrathful route)/Shinonome Kaito (in the Harmony route)/both (in the Moral route) from Momotsuka Takuma and the others in order to turn the latter into sacrifices for the Master, Renamon evolves on their own into Kyubimon in Part 10. They do not evolve into this form in the Truth route, but it can nonetheless be selected in-battle as it will always be unlocked from one of the other routes.
