Although it is covered by a fur pelt, it is clearly a Reptile Digimon. Due to its extremely timid and shy personality, it always gathers up the data which Garurumon leaves behind, and shapes it into a fur pelt to wear. Because it is wearing the fur pelt of Garurumon, who is feared by other Digimon, it fills the role of safeguarding itself as a result of protecting its body. When it is wearing the fur pelt, its personality does a complete 180° shift. Its Special Move is "Petit Fire".
The effect on Gabumon's Digicore due to the X-Antibody
Although it was originally classified as a Reptile-type, it became a Beast-type itself by taking in the fur pelt data of the Beast-types it loves so much. While its timid and shy personality remains unchanged, it favors rough fighting styles once it wears its fur pelt, and now launches quick attacks typical of a Beast-type. It acquired the striking technique "Petit Fire Hook", where it envelops its right hand in its "Petit Fire" and uses it to pound the enemy. As a result, it does not wear its precious fur pelt over its right hand.
