Cold Heart

From Wikimon

Cold Heart (コールドハート Kōrudo Hāto) is a mysterious ailment depicted in Digimon Beatbreak.

Tenma Asuka is Cold Hearted.

Overview[edit]

Whenever a Digimon feeds off a person's e-Pulse, the human body is drained of energy and appears to frost over. If their e-Pulse is fully consumed (usually through a sufficiently critical attack), the victim is rendered comatose, with their eyes becoming lifeless and blank and their bodies appearing to be completely frozen over. If recovered, patients of Cold Heart are admitted to a special ward of the World Union General Hospital. If the Sapotama containing their e-Pulse is recovered from the Digimon assailant, it may be possible to restore them by using that Sapotama on them, but it is believed that if the Digimon fully digests the stolen e-Pulse, there is no hope of recovery.

Digimon Beatbreak[edit]

In "The Beat of Emotions" Shinomiya Hitomi was cold-hearted after being attacked by Hyemon Earring, who pursued Tenma Tomoro's e-Pulse which was charged accidentally into Hitomi's Sapotama. Later on, while pursuing Tomoro and Tenma Asuka, Hyemon Scar absorbed the latter's e-Pulse, affecting him with Cold Heart as well.

Hitomi is cured of Cold Heart after the Glowing Dawn returned her Sapotama and e-Pulse to her in "Facing Mirrors". However, Asuka's e-pulse was kept by the World Union [11] (or more directly, Kanada Genjo), so he is still unable to recover.

Snimon attacked several people, Cold Hearting them prior to "Tactics". During the episode itself, it did so to Yosuke, who recovered after the Glowing Dawn gave him Snimon's Sapotama with his e-Pulse.

Red Vegimon intended to Cold Heart the entirety of the Glowing Dawn as revenge for them defeating the Kinoko Gang in the past in "Little Courage". However, they were stopped by the Baby I Digimon of Nirinso and Gekkomon before they could.

Izumi was Cold Hearted in "Proof of Genius" to stop her from giving out any information after she got arrested. Later on in the episode, Tomoro found out that the losers of Klay's Hidden Colosseum got Cold Hearted after seeing the frozen Hiroichi.

If Ludomon is activated as a Legend-Arms, it will continuously drain massive amounts of e-Pulse from its Owner, invariably resulting in a Cold Heart that likely can't be reversed or undone. Secretly, its owner Granit had a promise with Seraphy Naito for him to commit suicide this way if Naito is in danger, something that he actually did during Naito's fight against Sawashiro Kyo's Murasamemon as a death wish, where he gave out out Ludomon as a impregnable shield for Naito's Gigasmon. However, before either Gigasmon could defeat Kyo or Granit is completely Cold Hearted from the severe drainage, it was stopped short by Sakuya Reina.[12]

Klay Arslan's Proganomon can absorb the e-Pulse of anyone impaled on its spikes, instantly cold hearting them, and on its back are Sapotama Fakes which allowed further absorption of e-Pulse. This is the crux of Klay's plan to attain power to exceed and usurp Chairman Wong. When his criminal empire starts falling apart and even the World Union started going for his head, as a final ditch to prepare for his final confrontation with Glowing Dawn, he betrayed his loyal henchman Naito and had Proganomon ambush him from behind, stealing his e-Pulse and Cold Hearting him. He then summoned all of the coffins he collected, including ones with Kanuma Hotaruko and Granit trapped inside them, (Souda Raito managed to escape thanks to Ketomon's help), then had Proganomon absorb all of the e-pulses through the artifical sapotamas on his back, cold hearting all of the people trapped inside them as well. The sheer amount of E-Pulses reaped allowed Proganomon to evolve into the Ultimate-level Pyramidimon. After it was defeated by Murasamemon, all the e-Pulse they stole was returned to its original owners.[6]

However, Klay is not ready to give up yet and ambushed Kyo with Proganomon, stealing Sawashiro Kyo's e-Pulse.[6] Proganomon then defeated Reina and Makoto's Digimon with ease, stealing theirs as well and leaving them Cold Hearted. Enraged, Tenma Tomoro went berserk again and ineffectively fought against Proganomon before Souda Raito arrived and gave Tomoro an ephiphany talk. Tomoro manages to have Gekkomon evolve into Monarch Lizamon and defeat Proganomon again, this time permanently, and the rest of Glowing Dawn and Tactics Team 7 was reverted back to normal.[5]

The rogue Vamdemon in "Dangerous Fandom" has already cold-hearted at least four women that he fed on using his fan meet-and-greets and one police officer before Rose Woodville and Glowing Dawn intervened. He also collects these bodies to savor their fear.

On orders from GIFT to eliminate all information brokers, Fumamon Cold Hearted four information brokers prior to "Cold Rain". During the episode, they did the same to Hino, and attempted to do so to Kutsuwada Maki before being foiled by the Glowing Dawn.

Otsuki got Cold Hearted by Kishiwada Kanchi in "Behind the Mask" to set up a message from Kagemori Miharu to Tomoro.
