Digimon Beatbreak[edit]
The Koaka-kai is a small-to-medium-sized Yakuza syndicate consisting of several armed thugs and mercenary Owners they hired to do dirty jobs. Recently, they have contracted a man named Machida and his Kenkimon to tear apart the Hikarigahama East Shopping Street so they could take over it to construct a massive casino resort, and sent their henchmen to shake up its residents so they have to leave, leaving a large portion of its land being emptied with a small block isolated at the center. However, their efforts to compromise this block of the Shopping Street were stopped by a Pandamon who defended it from invaders. They also have Nawa Masahiro, an ex-Ministry of Civil Protection employee to send letters for the group.
They hired Nogi as soon as his Partner Digimon, Machmon, was born and had him steal Sapotama semi-conductors until he was stopped by the Glowing Dawn in "Family". As Nogi explained to the authorities, he never had any direct contact with them, he was merely sent a letter with instructions and had no knowledge of the gang.
The organization themselves were the main antagonists of "Half and Half" to "The Bond of Parent and Child", where they were made a bounty for the Glowing Dawn as Tomoro coincidentally went alone on a trip to the Hikarigahama East Shopping Street only to notice that it is now replaced by a construction site. When some gang members invaded with only weapons, Pandamon and Gekkomon team up to defeat them, causing their leader, Keisuke, to send Machida and Kenkimon instead. After they were defeated by Pandamon and Gekkomon, Keisuke took to the field himself alongside Astamon, the latter using Hellfire on Pandamon, Gekkomon and Bommon (Kenkimon's Baby I form), deleting the latter and injuring the former. However, it was met with a counterattack from Pandamon's Animal Nail, forcing them to escape.
Pandamon was heavily injured following this confrontation and the rest of Glowing Dawn rejoins Tomoro inside the Mirror World. Meanwhile, Keisuke threatens his accomplice Masahiro that instead of relying on more contractors, they must go to attack the shopping street in full force. He then ditches him off his car and leaves towards his office, where Sasatake confronted him. He pleads Keisuke to leave his block alone and promises to take his own life, but he merely scoffs off at the idea and has Astamon beat him. Seeing Sasatake hurt and knowing that it was Keisuke who did it, Pandamon goes alone to exact revenge against him, with Glowing Dawn offering to follow suit. Meanwhile, Sawashiro Kyo goes to handle Masahiro alone.
Glowing Dawn finds themselves horribly outmatched by the steep level difference between their Digimon and the enemy's. However, Pandamon blocks its Hellfire for them, of which Wolvermon takes the opportunity to knock the Oro Salmón off from Astamon's hands. Pandamon picks up then picks up the firearm readying to use it against Astamon, only for it to use Gekkomon as hostage against it and telepathically take the firearm back. In actuality, the Oro Salmón was clogged by Pandamon's nails when it got its hands on it, which caused Astamon to burn itself from the recoil. Pandamon then took the opportunity to sacrifice himself to destroy it, but Gekkomon intervened and gave it half of his e-Pulse, keeping Pandamon alive.
After Astamon's defeat, the Koala-Kai was never heard of again. Golden Dawn did get half of the bounty for dealing with them, implying that the gang was disbanded and its executives arrested.
