Digimon Beatbreak[edit]
Chifuyu and her younger sister Miharu's parents died when they were young and was her sole caretaker. She worked in a World Union laboratory as a researcher.
One day, Chifuyu's experimental Sapotama game birth to a Wizarmon. Excited, she introduced Miharu to the mirror world, where Wizarmon used its magic to create a bed of flowers for the sisters. She then announced her plans to get the World Union to announce the existence of Digimon and their benefits, a naive, wishful thinking that led to her demise.
Chifuyu then went to her colleagues doing exactly what she promised and brought Wizarmon in-tow. Unamused, they merely dismissed her as being insane and took Wizarmon to their laboratory for experimentation. This rendered her despondent and she succumbed to suicidal depression, eventually refusing to wake up at all. She then asked Miharu to buy dinner for her, of which the latter stumbled into a heavily injured Wizarmon and restored it with her own e-Pulse. However, when Miharu came back with Wizarmon, she already committed suicide by poison. Enraged and grief-ridden, Miharu's dark e-Pulse flowed into Wizarmon and evolved into Mephismon, a twisted reflection of Miharu's grief and hatred against the world.
The death of her elder sister and caretaker drove Miharu to the path of radicalization, and thus she found GIFT, a terrorist cult named after the first program she created to devastate the World Union as revenge for causing Chifuyu's death. Her final act of kidnapping Chairman Wong might also be a twisted version of Chifuyu's wish to make the World Union recognize the existence of Digimon prior to her suicide.
