Digimon Beatbreak[edit]
Kaito was the Star of Fire and a former childhood friend of Sawashiro Kyo, both of which who were recruited by the World Union at a young age. They had a sort of friendly rivalry with each other during their time as co-workers. However, their relationship became estranged following an e-Pulse draining incident inadvertently caused by Tenma Asuka, at which Kyo officially announces his resignation from the Five Stars in front of him. He treated the new Star of Gold, Kanada Genjo with great suspicion despite being co-workers.
Kaito first appeared in the present day during "A Black Emotion" when Glowing Dawn ran into trouble with a Disaster-class Raremon, being the first of the Five Stars that appeared in the show. He effortlessly deletes the Raremon and mocked Kyo for being a far cry compared to back then, then threatened Tenma Tomoro with physical violence and threats to delete Gekkomon when he tried to save his berserk Digimon partner. Kyo warns him to stop threatening his fellow crew member and both Murasamemon and Flaremon briefly clash with each other only for Kyo to lower his head and plead him not to harm his family anymore. Kaito was disappointed by Kyo's response (also confirming that he used to be one of the Five Stars) and prepares to make his leave, only for the still berserk Gekkomon to try attacking him from behind. In retaliation, Kaito has Flaremon use Gurenjūouha to try deleting Gekkomon, only for Murasamemon to block the attack, setting the surrounding area on fire, injuring Murasamemon and devolving Gekkomon into Kekomon.
He re-appeared to confront Genjo on the next episode, suspecting that he was the one who controlled the Marin Bullmon to attack Glowing Dawn's HQ. Genjo refuses to respond to his questions directly and remained cryptic. Kaito continues to threaten him with Flaremon in-return, but he noticed that Gokuwmon was preparing to attack him behind the shadows and relents. Genjo calls Gokuwmon off and walks away, telling him that they will meet again in the upcoming Five Star Meeting.
