Profile[edit]

Much like other members of GIFT, Hosho is extremely devoted to their cause and is fully willing to cause massive property damage, or harm or kill others for it. He's cowardly and quick to run when his operations fail and is willing to work under the very people he targets like his ex-boss Kuonji Seiji if needed. He detests Cleaners that oppose GIFT, seeing them as traitors.

Digimon Beatbreak[edit]

According to Kuonji Tsukasa, in the past, Hosho was a capable employee with a promising future of the Information Systems Department of Kuonji Industries but left to join GIFT.

In the present, in "Wings to Protect You", Hosho attempted to steal confidential information from his old company. However, he was caught on the spot by Tsukasa, so his Loogarmon attacked Tsukasa, hurting his leg and causing him to be wheelchair-bound. He then attempted to escape, only to find Kuonji Seiji, who offered him escape and the information if he deleted Chiropmon.

Using the incident as an excuse, Seiji contracted the Glowing Dawn to hunt down Hosho and Loogarmon. During their investigation, Kuonji Makoto and Tenma Tomoro found a broken old ID card of his, used by people that couldn't use Sapotama[N 1], which identified him as a member of Kuonji Industries' Executive Division. They later found Hosho and Loogarmon themselves and fought them with Arma Lizamon and Night Chiropmon. During the fight, Loogarmon focused entirely on Night Chiropmon, attacking Arma Lizamon only because they were an obstacle. As such, Night Chiropmon baited them away, leaving Tomoro and Arma Lizamon to take care of the fires that Loogarmon's Howling Burner caused. Makoto soon followed, only to find a defeated Chiropmon about to get finished, so he put himself in their way. Hosho ordered him to get out of the way by name, so Makoto asked him how he knew his name and why he targetted Chiropmon. Hosho explained that he had made a deal with Seiji. While he originally justified his actions on Seiji's character, he then confessed he saw Cleaners who worked against GIFT as traitors who should be eliminated. This anger triggered his e-Pulse, causing Loogarmon to evolve into Helloogarmon, who chased Makoto and Chiropmon down. After Chiropmon escaped from Makoto, thinking they shouldn't be with him, Helloogarmon jumped down to block their way, then attacked them with a claw swipe which caused an explosion, setting the whole area on fire.

After Chiropmon evolved into Scourge Chiropmon, Seiji ordered Hosho to hunt them down. Helloogarmon attacked them with their Howling Burst, which Scourge Chiropmon dodged but it caused damage to the Shangri-La Egg, so Makoto had Scourge Chiropmon take Helloogarmon out of the Egg from an entrance in the sky that Tsukasa opened. There, while falling, Helloogarmon tried another Howling Burst but it did nothing to Scourge Chiropmon, who then locked on to Helloogarmon with their Triangulation Scan and attacked them with Despair Blast, devolving them to Fusamon and separating them from their Sapotama, both of which Makoto then took. The GIFT logo briefly appeared on Hosho's Sapotama, then disappeared. Hosho was then taken by the Ministry of Civil Protection.

References Notes
  1. It's unclear why Hosho had this, as he was capable of birthing a Digimon from a Sapotama and evolving them. Whether this was a fake profile he gave Kuonji Industries, or he obtained the ability to use a Sapotama upon joining GIFT, is never explained.
