A Cyborg Digimon that defends the mysterious "aerial, covert honey base, Royal Base". Vespamon boasts an astounding degree of stamina that could not be imagined from its slight and thorny silhouette, and it never stops moving during combat. The best of the best, said to be the top 0.08%, are inducted into the "covert honey corps, Royal Commando", and awarded a codename. Its codename "Tiger" comes from the fact that it is by far the best in solo combat, and it wields twin blades shaped like tiger fangs, the "covert honey arms, Royal Meister". Its Special Move is stinging the opponent with the twin blades, Royal Meister (Mach Stinger V).[N 1]

Digimon Liberator[edit]

During his battle against the priest NPC of Emerald Coast in "GOOD GAME", Saikiyo played a BT18-056 Tiger Vespamon from his face-up security with its cost reduced to 4 thanks to BT19-053 Queenbeemon's When Attacking effect, as a beam of light that burst from the beehive. Tiger Vespamon's When Played effect then triggered, suspending the NPC's EX7-037 Tlalocmon, Jyagamon and Tonosama Gekomon[N 2], as Saikiyo had three face-up cards in his security stack.

Digimon Story: Time Stranger[edit]

Tiger Vespamon is the leader of the Funbeemon of Gear Forest. He sent a letter of challenge to Peckmon in the side mission "Hidden Honey Base Strikes Back" as he wanted revenge for Yuki Dan/Yuki Kanan destroying the Funbeemon's bases eight years prior in the side mission "Secret of the Hidden Honey Base" at Peckmon (at the time, Muchomon)'s orders, threatening to attack the Village if ignored. While both Peckmon and the Agent wanted to clear up the misunderstanding, Tiger Vespamon refused to listen, pointing out how the Agent also just attacked them while claiming them Titans earlier.

Tiger Vespamon serves as the boss of the side mission "Hidden Honey Base Strikes Back". He can use Guard Break and Double Actions.

After being defeated, Tiger Vespamon asks the Agent what they want of him. Regardless of their answer, Tiger Vespamon swears to retire to a home in the vicinity of Gear Forest Village and help to rebuild. Indeed, he soon moves to the Village, where Peckmon and him apologize to each other, and he makes handmade sweets for the rest of the villagers.

Three other Tiger Vespamon described as the elite guardians of the Royal Base and the top 0.08% of Vespamon codenamed "Tiger" were amongst the the initial 8 bouts of combatants in the Greatest Omega Carnival sidequests as members of a team known as "Covert honey corps, "Royal Commando", a reference to the Digimon's own Digimon Reference Book Entry. These Tiger Vespamon can all use Guard Break, Heavy Strike III, Double Actions, Triple Actions and Mach Stinger V. Despite being Ultimates, they can be defeated by Perfects at level 50 or higher, provided an advantageous alignment.

In both instances, Tiger Vespamon is weak to Electricity and Water, and resists Plant and Wind.

Tiger Vespamon is also an obtainable Digimon. It evolves from Dinobeemon, Savior Hackmon, Jewelbeemon, or Cannonbeemon.

  1. The "V" in "Mach Stinger V" is short for "Victory".
  2. While not stated, these Jyagamon and Tonosama Gekomon are likely EX7-045 Jyagamon and EX7-022 Tonosama Gekomon, respectively, as these are the only Jyagamon and Tonosama Gekomon released at the time of the chapter that have a play cost of 7 or less and the [Nature Spirits] trait, both conditions for EX7-037 Tlalocmon's effect. Furthermore, all the cards played by the priest NPC come from EX-07 Digimon Liberator.
