Digimon Adventure:

In the past, Lopmon was Cherubimon, one of the Holy Digimon who led the forces of light against Millenniumon's Army of Darkness. After the war, Cherubimon became Lopmon and lost his memories. But when he saw the evolution of Metal Greymon into War Greymon, a warrior who fought by his side in the past, his memories awake, and he could tell Yagami Taichi and Takenouchi Sora about Millenniumon. He also uses his powers to resurrect Komondomon, a transport Digimon, to help the Chosen Children to reunite.

In "Soaring Hope", Lopmon contacted Patamon inside his mind after he lost his ability to evolve into Angemon to make him realize that he had a new path to follow, becoming the light of hope that illuminates the world alongside his Partner, Takaishi Takeru. This led to him obtaining an alternate form, Pegasmon, in his fight against Cerberumon and his Fangmon subordinates.

Lopmon later travelled with Digimon that had lost their home and Leomon's allies (two Peckmon, Falcomon and Spadamon) on a grey Komondomon, searching for a new place to live, as narrated by Leomon in "A Place to Return To".

Lopmon, Spadamon, Falcomon, a Xiaomon, a Frimon and a Puroromon, riding the grey Komondomon, reacted to the attack of a group of Soundbirdmon in "The Angels' Determination".

Lopmon, alongside Xiaomon, talked to the Chosen Children through the screens that appeared in front of them in "The Great Catastrophe, Negamon", explaining that the current situation started moments after the Soundbirdmon were defeated. Takeru recognized Xiaomon, while Tailmon and Patamon finally met with their fellow Holy Digimon. He described the situation as a horrendous phenomenon which he couldn't light the way out of, and which would vanish everything. After the Chosen Children reaffirmed their vow to protect the world, Lopmon said he believed they may bring forth a miracle even greater than defeating Millenniumon.

After Negamon was finally defeated in "The End of the Adventure", Lopmon, on top of a Jyureimon, with both the red and his grey Komondomon sleeping behind them, told a group of Budmon and Woodmon how the world where humans live was beyond the sky, past the Network, and that was where the Chosen Children came from. Woodmon then asked if it was to protect them, but Leomon, who was with a Bearmon, several yellow and a rare Pickmon, and two Yukimi Botamon, thought that they came to the Digital World to become their friends. One of the Yukimi Botamon was confused about this, and Leomon clarified that they fought in order to protect their friends, which made the Yukimi Botamon want to go to the Real World. The Yukimi Botamon then asked Leomon what happened to the Chosen Children after that, and Leomon answered that they finished their mission and returned to the Real World, and would no longer go back to the Digital World, though he corrected himself on that since it may happen after all.
