Dark Maildramon appears as Skull Knightmon's mount in "The Tide-turning Update". It later returns to help Skull Knightmon's evolved form Dark Knightmon escape in "The Messenger of Darkness, Devimon". Later on it aided Skull Knightmon's kidnapping of Hikari. It tried to stop the Chosen Children from rescuing Hikari from Dark Knightmon, but was destroyed by Garudamon.
