Crimson is a major antagonist in Digimon World 2. He's the mastermind and leader of the Blood Knights. Originally a respected Guard Tamer of Digital City, he became obsessed with an unknown life form known as GAIA.

Crimson is first mentioned by Akira's Leader (Vandar, Cecilia or Skull) as the leader of the Blood Knights, who, along some officers, had escaped to somewhere deep in Directory Continent after attacking Digital City 30 years ago.

Ben Oldman later gave Akira the location of Ergono Hole, which Crimson had discovered back when he was a Guard Tamer.

In order to find out why the Blood Knights wanted to go to File Island, Akira's Leader sent him to capture Crimson in Decode Hole. There, in the 12th floor, Akira finally met with Crimson, who was surprised Akira came so far then introduced himself, having learned of Akira from Damedabose. He acknowledged Akira's outstanding power but thought he wasted it by not knowing how to properly apply it. Akira disagreed, as he used his power to protect everyone's peace as a member of a Guard Team. Crimson dismissed both peace and Guard Teams as illusions, proclaimed himself to be the only one who could light up the light of truth over their world of illusions, and challenged Akira to see if he had the power to regain the Real World alongside him.

Crimson is a boss of Decode Hole. He uses a team of Ex-Tyranomon, Skull Mammon and Deltamon. During this fight, Ex-Tyranomon can use Pretty Attack, Skull Mammon can use Enigma, and Deltamon can use Triplex Force.

After the fight, Crimson acknowledged Akira's strength but stated he hadn't used all of his power as he was merely testing him. He didn't want to destroy Akira, however, and instead asked Akira to join him and the Blood Knights so his power would be used for Crimson's grand plan. Akira refused as he fought for peace. Crimson accepted there was no point in trying to convince him as he didn't know the truth and decided to have his Digimon crush Akira instead. Before it happened, however, a Blood Knights Officer showed up and asked him to pull back as Birdramon had assembled their troops and they were waiting for Crimson's orders to begin their operation, so the Officer would take over Crimson there. Crimson accepted that was more important, even if he wanted to beat Akira up personally, so he challenged Akira to follow him to File Island where they'd finish their battle and gave him the Navi-Disk so he could do so before leaving. Akira accused him of cowardice but the Officer pointed out Crimson didn't have the time to deal with Akira so he'd do so himself instead

After defeating this last enemy, Akira swore to hunt down Crimson, no matter where he went.

Crimson then arrived in File Island and not only found but also became the boss of Chaos Lord then hid himself in Cluster Hole, according to Jijimon.

Akira and Crimson confronted each other again in Floor 16 of Cluster Hole. While Crimson was polite, Akira made it clear he would not let him escape again. However, Crimson didn't think he'd succceed, much less with his plan almost complete.

Crimson is the first boss of Cluster Hole. He uses a team of Vamdemon, Venom Vamdemon and Pumpmon. During this fight, Vamdemon and Venom Vamdemon can use Night Raid, and Pumpmon can use Trick or Treat.

After the fight, Crimson praised Akira's power and once again asked him to join him but Akira refused to, so Crimson resolved to proceed on his own and told Akira that Chaos Lord was waiting for him further in. Crimson then left for Directory Continent, as he had gotten all he needed from File Island, and told Akira he'd see him "in the next world", leaving Akira wondering what he planned to do.

Back in his Guard Team HQ, the Guard Leader confirmed to Akira that Crimson had returned to Directory Continent alongside other Blood Knights, so they would have to face him again.
