Video Games[edit]
After Akira defeated Chaos Lord in Cluster Hole, Chaos Lord told Akira it would not go down that easily and neither would the Chaos Generals, as they would be revived into a new form with the item it gave to Crimson, as the Guardians desired.
After becoming a Rank 9 Chief Tamer, Akira was allowed access to the path to the Kernel Zone, as humanity had promised to the Guardians. Akira's Guard Team Leader (Vandar, Cecilia or Skull) then explained the Guardians were the beings that created the Tamers, taught them how to use Tamer techniques and evolve Digimon. The other two then added that their ancestors had met the Guardians when they arrived there and, in exchange for their help, promised them that they would show the strongest Tamer the path to the Kernel Zone, a new world. Akira was shocked to be said Tamer. Akira's Leader reiterated this but added they could not force him to go. Akira agreed to do it, as he wanted to know the truth of the world Estina Violet talked about. The Leaders then told Akira to go to Shuttle Port and take the shuttle there to Kernel Zone.
Akira then left the shuttle and entered Core Tower. In the 24th floor, Akira met with the Guardian of his respective Guard Team (Silver Guardian, Blue Guardian, or Black Guardian). The Guardian introduced itself as the Guardian in charge of Akira's Guard Team's Attribute Digimon and the one who taught Akira's Guard Team how to wield said Digimon. Akira was surprised the legend was true and asked the Guardian about the truth of their world. While the Guardian could easily answer, it refused until Akira showed it his true power in a fight.
The Guardian is the final boss of Core Tower. It fights alone. Which Guardian is fought depends on Akira's Guard Team, with each matching said Guard Team's Attribute and having different stats and attacks.
- Blue Guardian can use Magna Mater, Interferon and Pinpoint Kick.
After the fight, the Guardian told Akira he had the right to know the truth as he had the power to destroy Overlord GAIA, a computer that went out of control, stopped humans from returning to the Real World and made Digimon wild. However, as the control program from the outside world was still in effect, Overlord GAIA could still be stopped. The Guardian then begged Akira to destroy GAIA in Chaos Tower or else Digimon would keep going wild and the world would be destroyed. It then added that the backup would save the world after GAIA was destroyed and then the humans would be free from the matrix and could go back to the Real World, where they were originally from. The Guardian then left, leaving Akira extremely confused.
