Professor Hyotto sent Akira to talk to Getdas to know where he could find the three Digimon Hyotto needed: Yanmamon, Shakomon, and Ikkakumon. Getdas gave Akira this information for 1000 BITs. Both Hyotto and Getdas were in Device Dome.

- Despite having an unique model and mugshot, it's fully optional to ever talk to Getdas in Digimon World 2. While he gives Akira information, if the player has it beforehand, there's no reason to talk to him or pay him at all. The Digimon will spawn in their Holes with or without talking to Getdas.
