Anime[edit]
Digimon Adventure[edit]
Andromon first appears in "Lightning! Kabuterimon", when the Chosen Children discover him in a factory on File Island. Controlled by a Black Gear, he attacks them. Tentomon evolves into Kabuterimon and destroys the gear, restoring Andromon's normal behavior.
During the Dark Masters' rule, Andromon encounters the children again and helps them oppose Mugendramon. Although he cannot defeat the Dark Master himself, War Greymon ultimately destroys Mugendramon.
Andromon subsequently accompanies the children to confront Piemon. He attempts to protect them, but Piemon transforms him into a key-chain figurine. After Holy Angemon restores him, Andromon joins the children's allies in fighting Piemon's army of Evilmon.
Digimon Adventure 02[edit]
In "Hikari's Memories", Andromon is controlled by an Evil Ring and attacks the Chosen Children in Full Metal City.
His encounters with Yagami Taichi, Takaishi Takeru, and Yagami Hikari gradually awaken his memories of their previous adventures. He recalls a photograph taken with the children, and Hikari's efforts to reach him help him resist the ring's influence.
Andromon ultimately destroys the Evil Ring and the city's Dark Tower, freeing himself from the Digimon Kaiser's control. He also restores the city's Guardromon to normal.

Digimon Adventure[edit]
Andromon first appears in Episode 5, "Lightning! Kabuterimon", as a mandatory boss inside the factory. Tentomon evolves into Kabuterimon for the battle. Andromon uses Weak Slap and Spiral Sword. After his defeat, the Black Gear leaves his body, and he directs the children to an escape route through the sewers.
In Episode 58, "Reunion! Overthrow Mugendramon!", Yagami Taichi and Izumi Koshiro encounter him in the Underground Passage. A member of the resistance against Mugendramon, Andromon joins them as a guest party member while they search for Yagami Hikari.
He can use Gatling Missile, Giga Shock, DEF Charge +, and ATK Charge Ω in addition to his earlier attacks. He holds off Mugendramon while the children continue their search.
Andromon remains with the group afterward. During their confrontation with Piemon, he helps the children escape before being transformed into a doll. Holy Angemon subsequently restores him.
After Apocalymon's defeat, Andromon, Orgemon, and Elecmon thank the children in Subspace.
