Valdurmon is one of the Holy Digimon who has led the forces of light against Millenniumon's army in the past. In "Holy Digimon", a projection of it arises from a feather and explains to the Chosen Children about the war of the past, and how they saw that a new darkness would be born in the future. In "A New Darkness, Millenniumon", he is more once mentioned by Lopmon, when he becomes aware of the Children having already received his instructions, in "Soaring Hope" his silhouette appears alongside the others Holy Digimon while Lopmon communicates with Patamon reminding him of his mission.

Valdurmon is the Partner Kemonogami of Hinata Minoru. At any point from Part 9 onwards, while fighting a Marin Devimon who is too strong for them, Minoru and Falcomon decide to buy Momotsuka Takuma time to get Agumon and the rest. Falcomon asks Minoru to run away, but he refuses to. Minoru tries to think of what Takuma would do, before realizing that Takuma is not around and that he must deal with it himself, as a hero would. Minoru's strong spirit causes Falcomon to evolve into Valdurmon.

Valdurmon is also a playable Kemonogami which can be obtained as both a Partner and a Free Kemonogami. It's a Mobility-type, Moral (Vaccine)-attribute, Ultimate-level Kemonogami. Its unnamed Attack is a peck (170 power, 0 SP, deals Light damage to target) and its special attack is Aurora Undulation (300 power, 65 SP, deals Light damage to target negating any stat boosts). Its Passive Skill is Purge Shine (Prevents all status abnormalities and stat reductions). Valdurmon's evolutions differ depending on whether it is the Partner Valdurmon or a Free Valdurmon:

• Partner Valdurmon evolves from Yatagaramon.
