In "Sweets Zone, The Sweet-toothed Digimon Rampage!", Spadamon is found injured by Taiki, who hears its DigiMelody and brings it into his Xros Loader. After being healed by Cutemon, Spadamon explains that it is a protector of the Sweets Zone and asks Xros Heart to help liberate it from the Bagra Army.
Spadamon accompanies the team to the Zone, where it explains that Matadrmon has imprisoned the local pastry chefs and forced them to prepare sweets for it. Since only pastry chefs are allowed into Matadrmon's fortress, Taiki presents Akari as a renowned pastry chef to gain entry, while Nene searches for the prisoners.
When Giga Waru Monzaemon attacks the team and overwhelms Shoutmon X4 with its speed, Spadamon volunteers to join the battle through DigiXros. It transforms into a weapon and combines with Shoutmon X4 to form Shoutmon X4S, enabling it to defeat Giga Waru Monzaemon.
Spadamon later reappears in the Gold Land as one of the Digimon under Olegmon's hypnotic control, alongside Coronamon and Lunamon.

Digimon Xros Wars[edit]
Spadamon is one of the squires of the Royal Knight Ulforce V-dramon, alongside Coronamon and Lunamon. During the Bagra Army's assault on the Royal Knights, Ulforce V-dramon was blinded by the miasma from Tactimon's sword. When the Digital World subsequently fractured into Zones, it and its squires were transported to the Real World, where they were unable to return home or contact their comrades. They took refuge in a secret base in Tokyo.
Spadamon finds Taiki and brings him to the group's hideout, where Ulforce V-dramon explains the circumstances of their arrival and Homeostasis's prophecy concerning the red-black two-headed dragon. It asks Taiki to take them back to the Digital World so that they can oppose the Bagra Army before the prophecy is fulfilled. While in the human world, Spadamon also appears in a cat-like animal form.
Spadamon and its fellow squires are present during the confrontation with Blastmon in Odaiba. They subsequently accompany Taiki back to the Digital World, allowing Ulforce V-dramon to reunite with the remaining Royal Knights.

Digimon Story: Super Xros Wars Blue & Red[edit]
Spadamon is one of the main characters of the game and one of the surviving Weapon Digimon. It is the youngest of the Weapon Digimon of the LS-tou Zone, whose chosen warriors wielded them to defend their homeland. Its abilities and memories were sealed before it was sent to another Zone. After its departure, invaders occupied its homeland and the other defeated Weapon Digimon fell into stasis.
Spadamon returns to the LS-tou Zone without remembering its past or how to regain its strength. It joins Taiki and Xros Heart against ROG, gradually recovering its abilities as the group reactivates the Condenser Towers. Its weapon transformation allows it to participate in Shoutmon X4S and Shoutmon X5S.
At Stealth Valley, Dynasmon returns the last of the memories Spadamon had entrusted to it. Dynasmon explains that it protected Spadamon from invaders and arranged for the towers to open in accordance with its growth alongside its chosen companions. After testing the group in battle, it recognizes Spadamon's progress. Spadamon restores the system that sustains Dynasmon's remaining data, knowing that Dynasmon will disappear when it resumes operation.
In the Omega Area, Spadamon identifies System Omega and rejects Barbamon's assertion that Weapon Digimon exist to serve the strong: their purpose is to protect what matters to them. It also condemns Armamon's forcible transformation of other Digimon into weapons and resists the same effect because of its own nature as a Weapon Digimon.
When Armamon becomes Omega Armamon Burst Mode, Spadamon attempts to access System Omega, reasoning that its status as a Weapon Digimon may allow it to do so. It initiates full protection of the Omega Area, containing Armamon while Xros Heart prepares for the final battle.
After the battle, Spadamon sends Taiki and Shoutmon back to Sky Fort and stays behind to stop Armamon. It later returns, explaining that it eliminated Armamon and the black hole. It chooses Taiki as its warrior.[20]
