Profile[edit]

Agumon is very loyal to Owen Dreadnought and gets angry when he's insulted by others such as Elizamon. Despite this, he's aware he doesn't know what Owen actually wants and wishes he could grow more honest, a wish he thinks may be fulfilled with Elizamon at his side. He sticks with Owen because he enjoys battling alongside him. As Elizamon calls him an "old fogy", a title he dislikes, it can be assumed Agumon is at least older than she is.

Appearances[edit]

Manga[edit]

Digimon Liberator[edit]

According to Elizamon in "LIZARD HEART", Agumon fought alongside Owen Dreadnought against Zenith in the Digimon Card Game World Championship in "Welcome to LACUNA", a fight they lost, as both Agumon and War Greymon.

As Owen told Kazama Shoto in "Re:START (Part 2)", Cyberdramon and him stumbled across Shoto and Muchomon as they investigated reports of players seeing wild Digimon on the Emerald Coast in the past, before Shoto joined the debug team. During Owen’s match against Shoto, Owen evolves his Cyberdramon to War Greymon. War Greymon attacks and deletes Shoto’s Zephagamon ACE, then attacks again, this time Shoto directly, winning the match for Owen.

As Xeno forced a repeat of their previous match as a Situational Battle in "MIRACLE MAKER (Part 1)", War Greymon fought once more alongside Owen. He was also part of the future Owen wanted to seize, fighting alongside Medusamon against Shoto's own Partner Digimon duo, Zephagamon and Medieval Dukemon. During the match itself, War Greymon attacked Ragnamon with Great Tornado. While Xeno exclaimed it was futile to do so as Ragnamon could avoid its own deletion, War Greymon merely pointed out he wasn't the only Partner Digimon of Owen's as Owen played BT24-089 Unique Emblem: Blazing Conductor, and from it, BT21-008 Elizamon. With Elizamon evolved into Lamiamon, Owen told his two Partner Digimon to combine their power. Lamiamon called War Greymon "old fogy" as she did in LIZARD HEART, which once more annoyed the older Digimon. What this meant was that the effect that War Greymon inherited from Gigimon triggered, allowing Lamiamon to evolve into Medusamon with the cost reduced by 1. During the last turn of the match in "MIRACLE MAKER (Part 2)", Owen gave War Greymon immunity to effects with BT19-089 Red Card, which protected him from Xeno's BT5-105 Ultimate Flare, then had War Greymon destroy two of the Petrification Tokens Medusamon created, lowering Xeno's security to 0.

During "MIRACLE MAKER (Part 2)", Owen evolves his Medusamon to his new trump card, BT24-018 Styracomon. Owen uses War Greymon and Styracomon to defeat Xeno.

Novel[edit]

Digimon Liberator[edit]

In "LIZARD HEART", Agumon was alongside Owen Dreadnought as they searched for Elizamon. He confirmed to Owen she was a new type of Digimon reported to exist in the Obsidian Desert and got angry at her as she insulted Owen and Agumon's loss to Zenith in the Digimon Card Game World Championship, though Owen calmed him down. He also defended the Debug Team from Elizamon's insults, getting angry once again as Elizamon called him an "old fogy". After Elizamon ran away, Agumon tried to chase her down but was unable to.

Agumon rested inside Owen's D-Storage as Owen took Elizamon around Lacuna with him. He left the D-Storage after Owen himself left to chase an out-of-control NPC, asked Elizamon to stop calling him old, then explained that Owen was the kind of person to always stare into the distance, and not even he knew if that was the future or past, but he still stayed with him because he enjoyed their battles together. He then convinced Elizamon to become Owen's card and fight alongside him too, hoping it'd help Owen change.

Trivia[edit]

  • Owen’s War Greymon, that is his partner Agumon in its Ultimate form, is the only War Greymon to be depicted with yellow irises or glowing yellow eyes in Liberator, in contrast to the general depiction of War Greymon with green irises across the Digimon franchise.
