Sam the Clown is an antagonistic Battle Type NPC in Digimon Liberator.
Profile[edit]
Sam the Clown was originally a normal NPC which drew complaints due to talking too much. Later on, it was hacked by Wormmon and drawn berserk, and in that form was responsible for the raid on the world of 49 Imperialdramon: Dragon Mode (Black) led by an Imperialdramon: Fighter Mode (Black).
After being hacked, he didn't show himself and instead used his Imperialdramon copies to fight. Only after all of them were deleted did he show his true body, with Wormmon perched on his shoulder, eyes glowing red. In this state, his speech patterns heavily changed, and he only repeated the same phrase over and over without end: "see you later". He also gained the ability to overwrite his own cards and could put pressure on his opponents through gusts of wind and lightning bolts.
Deck[edit]
Sam the Clown uses an unnamed deck that includes the following cards:

Appearances[edit]
Other Media[edit]
Prior to being hacked, Yuuki and Impmon tried to face Sam the Clown. As Yuuki was the 3000th person to talk to him, Sam wanted to celebrate and talked to her about rumours connected to the number 3, as it was the 3rd day he was standing there. Yuuki and Impmon agreed they couldn't listen to him for 20 minutes and left[3].
The producer team received several complaints about Sam the Clown's overly-talkative behaviour. However, they could find no bugs within his software, which was working perfectly. Cool Boy then had a few words with Sam in person, encouraging him to be a bit more succinct[4].
