It rejects Vaccine Digimon, and prefers targeting Digimon affiliated with the Virus Busters in particular to eliminate them. In addition to being fired for bombardments, the "Positron Laser" equipped to its left arm turns into the "Positron Laser Lance" by extending the heat sink, and delivers a powerful blow. Also, its "Giga Death", in which it inserts the Positron Laser into the dragon-face on its chest, and then emits all of its body's energy as a destructive energy wave, now has unfathomable offensive ability with increased destructive power. It otherwise demonstrated no differences at all from the regular version's design. In 2022, a revised design for Imperialdramon: Fighter Mode (Black) debuted in the Digimon Card Game in the EX03 Dragon's Roar set. This new design set itself apart from the original by introducing several new design distinctions compared to both its prior design and the regular Imperialdramon: Fighter Mode. Pointed teeth have been added to the dragon face on its chest, as well as that face protruding a tongue of its own when its mouth is opened. (Previous depictions of the regular Imperialdramon: Fighter Mode with the dragon face's mouth open, such as Digimon Adventure 02: Diablomon Strikes Back, depict it as toothless.) Its jaw is also no longer red. The design of its Positron Laser is completely different: the unit is sleeker, it has wing-like heat sinks that can be extended, and the muzzle of the cannon is longer.
