Summary[edit]
Nidhoggmon flew through the Sixth Avenue of Wall Slum, causing destruction in its wake. Loogamon and Pulsemon followed it, although the former couldn't go as fast as he wanted to due to the debris around the area. Tamahime Satsuki then arrived from the sky, riding on Cargodramon and with Numemon by her side, and ordered the Digimon to get in.
Inside Cargodramon, Xu Yulin, with Ryudamon at her side, asked the group if they had met the boss of the Fourth Avenue, Orochimon. Nagasumi Eiji confirmed it but Leon Alexander denied it. Based on a smell, Loogamon asked Yulin if Orochimon was the culprit. Yulin explained that they had done some research after separating from the hackers and found out that a former female researcher at Abadin Electronics had gone Digital Missing In Action (DMIA) and had been considered unable to return for years, but in reality, she had been in Wall Slum. Nidhoggmon then devolved into Orochimon, confirming to Eiji they were one and the same. Her past memories showed around her as visions. Leon realized the main Orochimon head was crying.
In the visions, the researcher remembered how she loved researching Digimon at Abadin Electronics and wanted to experience their world for herself, so she asked Professor Ryusenji Tomonori for Mindlink access. Through it, she met her Partner Digimon, Soundbirdmon, and had fun together, until they found themselves in Wall Slum, where hackers forced Digimon, such as a Vorvomon and a Jazardmon, to beat each other up in meaningless battles then abandoned them when they were no longer useful. In an alley, the researcher found even more abandoned and wounded Digimon, and realized they'd never stop. Overcome with grief, she fell to her knees and cried as she told the Professor she just wanted to befriend Digimon but was a stupid human like them. As she did so, she thought of the many Digimon she had played with, including a Dracumon, a Candmon, a Mushmon, a Starmon, a Plotmon, a Hyokomon, a Blucomon, a Cutemon, a Sangomon, a Labramon, a Spadamon, a Gammamon, a Luxmon, a Neamon, a Hawkmon, a Keramon, a Tinkermon, an Elizamon, a Phascomon, a Swimmon, a Falcomon, a Pawn Chessmon of unknown colour, an Ebi Burgamon, and a Terriermon. In the Real World, her body suffered from the effects, as the other researchers realized there was an error and tried to hold her down. As Yulin explained, prolonged exposure to the Mindlink caused her mental data to fuse with her Partner's Digicore, leaving her body comatose and, ultimately, dead. However, AE prioritized their experiment, leaving her DMIA, while, as a researcher, she was concerned for the situation in Wall Slum. Due to that, what was left of her was not quite human nor Digimon. While Eiji and Satsuki thought about her suffering, Leon instead focused on how they may be able to fix her if her memories and consciousness hadn't faded away by separating her consciousness from Orochimon's and administering a recovery tonic, which he summoned in the form of a syringe.
With the plan in action, Leon and Pulsemon jumped off of Cargodramon and on top of Orochimon's main head, then Leon administered the recovery tonic to her. Orochimon lost consciousness from a moment but quickly woke up and realized that more hackers and crackers had shown up. Pulsemon thought they had succeeded but Leon realized they hadn't, then Orochimon sent them flying as she blamed humans for turning Wall Slum into a living hell for Digimon. She evolved once again into Nidhoggmon as she proclaimed it should all be razed to the ground, then proceeded to do so with her Annihilention. Satsuki realized her corrupted mental data had sent them on a rampage and, because this was a manmade issue, they had to solve it with Digimon. As Nidhoggmon let loose a roar to the sky, Loogamon told Eiji that they were too late, she was not human anymore, just corrupted data. Eiji resolved himself to fight for his friends in Wall Slum. The three Tamers evolved their Digimon to their Perfect stages: Pulsemon to Boutmon, Loogamon to Soloogarmon, and Numemon to Black King Numemon. Black King Numemon used its Poison Mucus on Nidhoggmon's eyes to blind it, then Boutmon took the chance to hit her with his Raigekishou. As Soloogarmon charged an attack, Eiji told Leon to move, and with Boutmon out of the way, hit Nidhoggmon with his Sköll Rage as they asked her why she did what she did. Unfazed by the attack, Nidhoggmon knocked Soloogarmon away as she explained she could hear the voices of the Digimon that were tossed aside, combined within her, just as she had combined with Nidhoggmon. Eiji was unfazed by this, however, and Black King Numemon once again stopped Nidhoggmon, this time by hypnotizing her with its Black Pupil, allowing Boutmon and Soloogarmon to hit her with their Budenhadan and Eruption Howling, respectively. However, they wounds they caused her quickly healed up, and then she counterattacked them with Rudiment. The trio tried to hit her over and over to no avail, with Yulin realizing they had no chance. Calling them through GriMM, Yulin asked the trio if they had found the Digicore. Satsuki explained she had and it was in the head, which Eiji and Leon realized would be a tough spot to hit if she kept moving. Yulin wondered how they could keep her still but quickly arrived at an idea. To follow it, Boutmon and Black King Numemon devolved back to their base stages and were carried away by Soloogarmon. Nidhoggmon followed them through a cramped street with buildings on both sides, which Yulin took advantage of, having Cargodramon attack the buildings with its Slaughter Blade so they'd fall on top of her. Nidhoggmon asked her if she had gone that far just to trap her but that was not all, as Ouryumon appeared and hit her with Eiseiryuoujin, pinning her to the ground. The trio took the chance to evolve to their Ultimate levels (Numemon > Black King Numemon > Platinum Numemon, Loogamon > Loogarmon > Soloogarmon > Fenriloogamon, Pulsemon > Bulkmon > Boutmon > Kazuchimon). Platinum Numemon attacked first with its Platinum Burp and Platinum Excrement, followed by Fenriloogamon using Hróðvitnir to summon a duplicate of himself. Both Fenriloogamon surrounded Kazuchimon, who rose his swords for a combined attack of Ragnarök Howling and Shinden Shouraikou. Eiji and Leon shouted as their attack pierced through Nidhoggmon's head and Digicore, shattering the latter and deleting Nidhoggmon. From her data, the Digitama of the missing Digimon appeared. While Eiji realized there were some missing, he was nonetheless relieved at this. However, the moment was ruined as Yulin called Eiji and Leon out for running off when they promised not to. Both apologised and Yulin forgave them for it this time.
As they gathered the Digitama alongside the Digipolice's Commandramons, Eiji asked Loogamon about how Orochimon, or rather, the researcher, really loved Digimon. Loogamon accepted Wall Slum was a hellish place but they still could find ways to enjoy themselves in it. Eiji agreed and both fist-bumped each other.
