Tobari Ren is an antagonist in Digimon Xros Wars: The Young Hunters Who Leapt Through Time.

A cool-headed Hunter. Even though he respects Taiki and Yuu, he has no respect for Tagiru. He'll attack humans if they get in the way of the Digimon.

He bumped into Tagiru during a Digimon hunt. Yuu caught a glance of his Xros Loader and went to tell Taiki about it.
Ren has been shown willing to help others, but only if it benefits him also. He is extremely knowledgeable about rare digimon and their various subspecies. He prefers to hunt exceptionally rare digimon for his collection.

- At the "Hypnos Meeting 2019", when asked which Death Generals or characters from Hunters he would have liked to have used in the manga, Nakashima Yuuki stated that he personally would find it interesting to do something with Tobari Ren, since the latter had a tendency to hide in Mogami Ryouma's shadow.[11]
