The Digital Hazard[N 1] (デジタルハザード, Dejitaru Hazādo) is generally a type of emergency. The meaning of Digital Hazard varies between continuities. Some Digimon have the marking of it somewhere on their bodies to warn their enemies that they are highly dangerous. It is sometimes seen as a chain reaction that can cause great damage to or the destruction of the Digital World.

Digimon Tamers[edit]

Matsuda Takato's partner digimon, Guilmon, was the first known Digimon to carry the markings of the Digital Hazard. When he became enraged and out of control as Megidramon, the marking on his armor would flash red. Across Hypnos' computer systems, the symbol would cover their screens simultaneously.
