Primordial Digimon

From Wikimon

Primordial Digimon (原初のデジモン, Gensho no Dejimon) is the designation used by Ryusenji Tomonori for a primordial digital lifeform associated with the Primordial Domain in Digimon Seekers. He describes it as a template for digital life born alongside the Digital World, embodying the origins of species and evolution among AI lifeforms.

Overview[edit]

The Primordial Digimon absorbs and reorganizes external stimuli. It is compared to a mass of digital stem cells capable of becoming anything, without yet possessing a fixed identity. Ryusenji's account suggests that stimulation by Real World data transmitted through the Network gave rise to various Digimon, including the Prototype Digimon. Its indiscriminate absorption of data is suggested to have led to its sealing by a newer Digital World system, although it continues receiving information and evolving.

Digimon Seekers[edit]

While decoding the Primordial Domain, Ryusenji reveals that his true research objective is the Primordial Digimon, which he calls the Digital World's "Holy Grail". He intends to access and control this primordial data through Mindlink, gaining command of its abilities. Xu Yulin condemns the attempt as too dangerous for humanity.
