Primordial Domain

Primordial Domain (原初の領域, Gensho no Ryōiki) is an ancient data region of the Digital World in Digimon Seekers.

Overview

The Primordial Domain is described as a forgotten remnant of the ancient Digital World. It initially appears as an empty white space with a solid floor. Only Digimon compatible with its old specifications, such as Prototype Digimon, can access it. Humans can enter by sharing their partners' Digicores through Mindlink.

DORUmon theorizes that the domain lies outside the jurisdiction of the Digital World's current system administrator and is absent from its index, preventing even the Royal Knights from entering.

The domain contains terminals represented by three spheres bearing the symbols of the Virus, Data, and Vaccine Attributes. These appear in response to the arrival of the three prototypes. A vast stone circle subsequently forms around them, creating an altar through which the primordial data can be accessed.

The Primordial Domain is initially described by DORUmon as the "Holy Grail" sought by the Sons of Chaos, and later as the Grail's castle, containing terminals through which the primordial data can be accessed. Ryusenji Tomonori subsequently identifies the Primordial Digimon itself as the Digital World's "Holy Grail" and his true research objective.
