Chapter #1 of Hiragana Digimon: A Tale of the Royal Knights

Characters[edit]

Summary[edit]

Dynasmon's Problem[edit]

As he smoked from a pipe, Dynasmon questioned what exactly justice was, as one Digimon's good was another's evil. The narrator called his question out as a melodramatic one, which annoyed Dynasmon, who threw his pipe at the narrator's speech bubble.

Soccer Ball[edit]

Dynasmon watched a Boogiemon and a Troopmon play football. He thought it was splendid, as sports represented a higher form of a Digimon's natural instinct as they were bound by rules. However, he then realized they were using Wanyamon as a ball.

Obvious Evil[edit]

Dynasmon ordered Boogiemon and Troopmon to stop. Boogiemon explained they were hurting Wanyamon to blow off some steam as they wasted all of their money on gambling and didn't win once. Dynasmon rejected this reasoning then attacked both with his Dragon's Roar as he explained he enjoyed when evil was obvious as he could punish it without restraint.

The Royal Knight of his Dreams[edit]

Wanyamon recognized Dynasmon as a Royal Knight and called him mister, which Dynasmon didn't like as he wasn't that old. Wanyamon thought the Royal Knights were awesome, but Dynasmon glared at him and told him not to come any closer, which made Wanyamon cry. Dynasmon, ashamed, offered him champion chocolate and yummy meat to calm him down.

Ball Lover[edit]

Dynasmon asked Wanyamon why he got involved with Boogiemon and Troopmon. Wanyamon explained he lost control when he saw their football and tried to play with it himself, only for Boogiemon and Troopmon to decide to use him as the ball instead. Dynasmon thought he must really like playing ball.

Dynasmon the Bad Boy[edit]

Wanyamon asked why he couldn't get close to Dynasmon and he explained he was a bad and dangerous Digimon who liked to smoke and speed around on his motorcycle (a Machmon), and to stay up drinking energy drinks, getting messed up and posting anonymous troll messages online. In the former, the noise he made annoyed a Patamon, while in the latter, he insulted Yggdrasill. Wanyamon thought Dynasmon was very cool, like a middle schooler, with Dynasmon getting caught off-guard by the comment.

Playing Pretend[edit]

Dynasmon accepted to play with Wanyamon, who wanted to pretend they were Royal Knights. Wanyamon decided to be Alphamon, while Dynasmon wanted to just be himself, but Wanyamon told him to be Demon of the Seven Great Demon Lords instead and attacked him with a pretend Ouryūken which wounded Dynasmon's pride.

Acorn Loop[edit]

Wanyamon wanted to hunt for acorns, then ants, then roly-polies, each tiring Dynasmon more and more. He then went back to acorns, which made Dynasmon realize they were stuck in a loop which repeated at least eight times.

Limit Break[edit]

Dynasmon got angry at the endless looping and ordered Wanyamon to stop following him around or he'd kick him away. Wanyamon wondered if Dynasmon was good at kicking and Dynasmon showed him by playing with a football. However, when Dynasmon tried to kick the ball, he kicked Wanyamon accidentally instead, shocking him.

At the Bar[edit]

In a bar in the sky where the Royal Knights tended to gather, with a Dominimon in a table behind him, Dynasmon worried about what he had done. Magnamon then arrived and asked him what was wrong, but Dynasmon refused to answer as he was a busybody. Magnamon offered him some champion chocolate and yummy meat, which annoyed Dynasmon as he was treating him like a kid. Dynasmon then explained to him what happened and Magnamon told him he heard a Wanyamon suddenly fall from the sky in a square not far from where they were. Dynasmon and Wanyamon reunited there, with Wanyamon ready to hunt for Royal Knights, which annoyed Dynasmon as they weren't acorns. Magnamon told Dynasmon to take responsibility and look after Wanyamon and Dynasmon was glad Wanyamon was tougher than he looked as a confused Angemon looked at them.

Trivia[edit]

  • The food shown in "The Royal Knight of his Dreams" and "At the Bar" are references to other Digimon series that Yabuno Tenya was involved in. "Champion chocolate" references Digimon Ghost Game, as "champion" was what Gammamon called chocolate. Meanwhile, the "yummy meat" is actually Asunaro Meat from Digimon Dreamers.
