Musclemon is infected with the L-Virus and forces users to undergo grueling training sessions. His app is taken offline by Offmon, after which Gatchmon, Musimon, and Dokamon defeat and purify him.

A Musclemon in the Nikotamagawa east office AR-Field enthusiastically trained three Tapmon (Entertainment, Life, Tool) to give them muscular bodies, though none of them could keep up with him or wanted to do it. He tried to add Kazuki/Itsuki to his class upon seeing them and got mad at the Tapmon trio when they told Kazuki/Itsuki to run away. The three Tapmon also denied wanting or even needing beautiful bodies. As such, Kazuki/Itsuki asked Musclemon to stop. Musclemon yelled at them that this had nothing to do with weak humans, though Kazuki/Itsuki said they liked to exercise and were healthy. Musclemon then agreed to do it if Kazuki/Itsuki beat the Free Tournament (F-Rank) in the Cyber Arena to prove their strength, starting the sub quest "Muscle Training?", then went back to training the Tapmon. However, rather than releasing the Tapmon, knowing Kazuki/Itsuki was a strong Appli Driver only meant Musclemon now wanted to battle them. While Kazuki/Itsuki didn't return the feeling, the three Tapmon encouraged them, so they accepted the battle. After the battle, Musclemon was left in awe at Kazuki/Itsuki's skill, which he found beautiful, and accepted their demand, ending the Tapmon's training. However, Musclemon also cared about his untapped potential as a muscle-training app, so instead he offered to train Kazuki/Itsuki's muscles, only to get instantly rejected.
