In "Leopard Mode", its Special Moves are causing towering pillars of bedrock to appear from the ground, tossing the opponent (Wolkenkratzer), and running across the land and flying through the sky, tearing the opponent apart from every angle (Blockade). Also, the spherical tip of Duftmon's tail generates globe-shaped energy mines that become its weapon "Eroberung", which it strategically encircles the opponent with.

Digimon Story: Time Stranger[edit]

Duftmon is one of the Royal Knights. Yggdrasill sends Yuki Dan/Yuki Kanan to find them and get them to their rendezvous point in Central Town in the side mission "Royal Knights, Assemble!".

Lalamon in Gear Forest warns the Agent about a Digimon that wandered into the forest and started being violent all of a sudden, attacking even the Titans, in the side mission "A Facilitator's Woes". Said Digimon was Duftmon: Leopard Mode, who was overwhelmed because it felt it had to satisfy everyone while they acted selfishly, so it wanted to punish them. Unlike the other Royal Knights, Duftmon: Leopard Mode will attack the Agent on the overworld like a wild Digimon, triggering their battle.

Duftmon: Leopard Mode is the boss of the side mission "A Facilitator's Woes". Other than normal attacks, it can use Shadow Claw III. Despite its story importance, Duftmon: Leopard Mode is not considered a boss in-game, it doesn't have a big HP gauge and does give Scan Percentage upon being defeated.

The fight returned Duftmon to its senses. It thanked the Agent for stopping it then Mode Changed into Duftmon as it found it impolite to speak to them in its fighting form.

Duftmon: Leopard Mode is also an obtainable Digimon. It can Mode Change from Duftmon.

  1. Duftmon's attack is named "Leopard Mode" in Digimon Story: Sunburst & Moonlight.
  2. [EX4-072 Digital Translator] no longer applies to this Digimon as of May 29, 2026, as an errata has changed the text of the card to only apply to Dukemon, Sakuyamon, and Saint Galgomon.
