Hondo Kanata is the main character of Digimon Alysion.

Hondo Kanata is an energetic and casual gamer, who’s dabbled in various genres, but is new to card games. Kanata was invited by her online friend Futre to try out a new release, Digimon Liberator.[1]

Digimon Alysion[edit]
Although Kanata had always loved Digimon, she never had many chances to play with Digimon cards. After learning about the game from an introductory pamphlet and conversations with Futre, she finally decided to dive into the world of Liberator.[1]
Before meeting with Futre in Emerald Forest, Kanata logs into the game and learns the game from the helper AI, Aliol. Aliol gives Kanata a deck to play with and introduces Agumon as Kanata’s "first Partner Digimon".
Afterwards, Kanata travels to Emerald Forest to meet Futre. There, the two are interrupted by Valner Dragnogh and Renamon, who urgently wish to speak to Futre, leading to them challenging Kanata to a card battle. Futre reveals herself to be the Digimon, Gemmon, and helps Kanata with the battle. As Renamon evolves, Futre (as Gemmon) evolves to the forms of Liskmon and Reptilimon. This battle is interrupted by a figure named "Shoto Kazama (Black)"[N 1] A Pteromon attacks Renamon, before the figure forces Kanata into a card battle. Futre notes this Pteromon looks unlike any Pteromon she knows of, before evolving into her Ultimate form, Rubeusdramon to take on the mysterious Zephagamon used by the figure.
Later, Kurusu Koga shows up for his scheduled meeting with Futre, and introduces himself to Kanata alongside his partner, Herissmon, who is still in Koga’s D-Storage. Koga continues to teach Kanata about Digimon Liberator and various cards in a card battle.
