Yuji is a character in Digimon Story. He's a Platinum Tamer, ally to the Player, but later temporarily becomes an enemy to him after being brainwashed by Unknown-D.

After the Player finds an item in Training Peak, Kain sends his Atlur Kabuterimon (Red) and Dagomon to threaten them. However, they're swiftly defeated by Yuji's Cyberdramon's Erase Claw, forcing Kain and Tomomi to run away.

After Pagumon tells the Player about his dream and the place he saw in it, the Player asks Yuji in Digi-Central about it, who though the place sounded like Old Canyon and gave them the address to it.

During the Bad Tamers incident, Yuji leads the Digi-Central Tamers in their hunt for the Bad Tamers.

After the Player defeats Grand Locomon, Yuji and Kazuya show up and help him catch the Bad Tamers, then return to Digi-Central all together. There, they learn from Yoshiki and Alicia about the Bad Tamers Boss and his location, Freezing Mountain. While Kazuya was ready to go, Yuji points out it's too risky for all of them to go together, so they send the Player alone.

Yuji is one of the Platinum Tamers that mysteriously vanished. He's the last one the Player fights in Core Field, where he uses Black Imperialdramon and Black Saint Galgomon. After being defeated, Yuji comes back to his senses, thanks the Player, and acknowledges their improvement from the way they fought. While he wants to help the Player, he isn't fully recovered, so he goes back to Digi-Central.

After the Player is crowned the Tamer King, Yuji acknowledges the Player has surpassed him, but says he'll go all-out the next time they fight, which the Player reciprocates.
