Chrondigizoit[edit]

Collectors[edit]

Shouldn't those be named Chrome Digizoid, since they have the do?KrytenKoro06 (talk) 17:13, 9 December 2014 (CST)

Questions[edit]

  • Magnamon's profile doesn't specifically say that it, itself, has Chrome Digizoid.
  • Where are BlackWarGreymon/X's "Cursed Chrome" coming from?
  • Where are Andromon, MachGaogamon, Mugendramon's Chrome Digizoid coming from?KrytenKoro06 (talk) 09:47, 1 April 2019 (CDT)
  • Card Bo-300 specifies that it's armour is made of chrome digizoid
  • Mach Gaogamon is specified on the Digimon Next manga, Andromon is specified on HiAndromon's profile and mugendramon is made from the parts of Digimon that have chrome digizoid, such as MetalGreymon, Andromon, Megadramon, etc.
  • BlackWar X comes from Digimon Collectors, the source is already on the page it self

--Convergencia Digital (talk) 13:25, 1 April 2019 (CDT)

Other than Andromon (who is indicated by HiAndromon's profile to have parts that were made from Chrome Digizoid, not the entire armor), none of those other profiles for Mugendramon's components mention Chrome Digizoid. Specifically, the MetalGreymon with Chrome Digizoid is the Vaccine version, while Mugendramon is traditionally made from the Virus version. With only Andromon's shoulder-plates making it to Mugendramon, I don't think we can fairly say that those were definitely Digizoid parts. Nevermind, Dw-0 indicates that MetalGreymon Virus's claws are Chrome Digizoid too.KrytenKoro06 (talk) 07:34, 4 April 2019 (CDT)
Can you give me a page number for MachGaogamon? It's hard to confirm this stuff with just a vague point at an entire publication. Same with BlackWarGreymon/X (which I definitely can't find any quotes or notes given on the page). The best I can find is the collectors fansite indicating that it's used as an evolution item for BlackWarGreymon/X, which is very different from it being part of BlackWarGreymon/X.
Also, it should be spelled "Cube" on the article, not Cubre.
Thank you for the Magnamon and Andromon info. The article should probably have a note on Andromon's entry quoting that part of the profile, for context.KrytenKoro06 (talk) 07:14, 4 April 2019 (CDT)
Also, the page is missing MetalGarurumon.KrytenKoro06 (talk) 07:32, 4 April 2019 (CDT)
  • Mugendramon is actually made from MetalGreymon (Vaccine)
  • For MachGaogamon, it's chapter 19 page 20, sorry I didn't have it earlier, I just didn't remember it by heart nor had the time to search for it
  • As for BlackWargreymon's Cursed Digizoid, on Digimon Collectors, all materials used to evolve a digimon are actually parts of such digimons. You use the Seiken Grade Alpha to get Alphamon, the Tifferet to get Rosemon, the Excalibur to get HolyAngemon, so, if the game requires you to get the Cursed Digizoid card to evolve to BlackWarGreymon it is actually saying that BlackWarGreymon does have that tipe of metal on it's armour.

Thanks for the MachGaogamon page.
For collectors, that doesn't seem to be universally true: (represents the fusion of AtlurBallistamon and JagerDorulumon)/(represents the fusion of RaptorSparrowmon and ZekeGreymon), ex, ex/ex, ex, ex, ex. I also wouldn't necessarily say that Armor Digimon "include" their digimental. I can see that it's definitely thematically linked, which would probably imply that Cursed Chrome Digizoid is part of BWGmon, I'm just not sure it's explicit enough to count.KrytenKoro06 (talk) 08:04, 8 April 2019 (CDT)
We'll look at it this way, if we just assume that the cursed digizoid has absolutely nothing to do with BWgreymon, even though it is implied that it does, then that would mean that Bandai went through the trouble to design a whole new type of digizoid metal just to make it completely useless since there wouldn't be a single Digimon in the entire franchise that would have it. It just doesn't make much sense at all, specially when most digimons on Collectors are in some form related to their evolution materials. I believe it's explicit enough.--Convergencia Digital (talk) 09:04, 8 April 2019 (CDT)

Speculative additions[edit]

  • Craniummon + Enbarrmon
  • Duftmon Leopard Mode
  • Examon X
  • MetalGreymon Alterous Mode
  • MetalGreymon G Erosion Mode
  • MetalGreymon Virus
  • MetalGreymon Virus G Erosion Mode
  • Mugendramon - as noted above, the Trident Arm is specifically Chrome Digizoid which is fine, but the note goes past that to speculate that the Andromon shoulder pads "may" be Chrome Digizoid as well, which is inappropriate.
  • WarGreymon G Erosion Mode

These additions engage in speculative argumentation, rather than simply relying on sources. In my opinion, that's inappropriate for a wiki, especially since many of the relevant profiles explicitly note how the changes from the Digimon's earlier forms fundamentally changed them in some way. I don't see a reason why we can't wait until Bandai decides to care enough to make such speculation themself.

Also, I'd like to reiterate per the prior discussion that it's still inappropriate to conclude in wiki-voice, simply from the use of Cursed Chrome as an evolution item, that BlackWarGreymon and BlackWarGreymon X have Cursed Chrome Digizoid armor, especially when the article is specifying individual pieces of that armor as the parts using Digizoid. As mentioned above, there were several counterexamples to the theory that evolution items are always part of the resulting Digimon.

Finally, re:UlforceVeedramon, when referring to colors, Chrondigizoit and Chrome Digizoid colors are treated by the franchise as functionally interchangeable -- I think the profile is just abbreviating the term rather than differentiating it from Digizoid.KrytenKoro06 (talk) 19:09, 27 April 2026 (CDT)

There are a few different points here so let me take these one by one:
    • Most speculation here is based on visible proof - you pointed out that Mugendramon is fine but I'm using the exact same logic for the Metal Greymon variants (except Virus, as that one had an actual source I didn't know of and that I editted now), they all have the exact same Trident Arm. I see no reason to ever imagine it stops being Chrome Digizoid because Metal Greymon grew another mechanical arm in Alterous and the "G" Erosion changes the other side of it. The same applies to Craniummon + Enbarrmon where both Digimon are identical upon fusing, one just rides the other (and are shown as such in Time Stranger, its first appearance - it is never actually treated as an evolution or fusion of any kind and Craniummon just rides Enbarrmon and can dismount it at will). Its DRB profile not stating its armour is made of Black Digizoid is likely just because it'd be entirely redundant.
    • War Greymon's more debatable because the DRB just points out its armour is made of Chrome Digizoid without ever specifiying what part of it (I have no idea where the Dragon Killers and Brave Shield being made of Chrome Digizoid comes from - I added references and other examples but didn't delete anything that was in the page before, like Metal Greymon's armour also being made of Chrome Digizoid where everything I find only specifies the Trident Arm).
    • I was honestly of two minds with Duftmon: Leopard Mode. I think the armour is still the same but the Digimon changes enough that I could see it going either way. That one could be considered pure speculation and may just be removed.
    • You also put Examon X on the list when that one's taken straight from its DRB profile (in fairness, the part that it shares with normal Examon, but still, it's not like that doesn't apply to a lot of the X-Antibody forms) and is properly referenced as such. I'm not sure where the issue is here.
    • You're right that the Andromon part of Mugendramon was purely speculative and I removed it now. Andromon being made of Chrome Digizoid is itself kind of bizarre since it derives from Hi Andromon's profile vaguely pointing out it's more Chrome Digizoid than Andromon itself, so god knows what is or isn't Chrome Digizoid there.
    • I'm not taking responsibility for the Black War Greymon parts. Again, I added but didn't remove (despite having my doubts about some stuff here which I could find no references for, mostly specific weaponry when profiles are a lot more vague - but also I can't find a single source for Dinohumon or Metal Garurumon X). I would've removed that or added a [source needed] Wikipedia-style to them myself but didn't want to remove something that may be correct.
    • Finally, on Chrondigizoit/Chrome Digizoid - Wikimon has separate pages for them. Unless we intend to take that road everywhere, I'd say the note is needed here as the rest of the wiki considers both metals separate.--Blaze Dragon (talk) 14:02, 28 April 2026 (CDT)
I pointed out that Mugendramon was fine because we have explicit canon content saying that the relevant parts were taken directly from those Digimon (" It was built by synthesizing the parts of many Cyborg Digimon" as well as various reports or cards directly stating that those are the parts of those Digimon). That's different from simply saying the Digimon evolved or mode changed and still basically looks the same. For example, I wouldn't extend that grace to HiMugendramon, Chaosdramon, or Chaosdramon X -- and with Chaosdramon we indeed see that its armor is considered a different type of Digizoid. You're saying you're seeing no reason to imagine it stops being Chrome Digizoid, but implicitly we'd still be imagining that it keeps being Chrome Digizoid, and as a wiki, wikivoice should in general rely on claims that are citable, especially with lists like this where we're making direct claims of membership.
"it is never actually treated as an evolution or fusion of any kind " - the game categorizes it as a jogress, and the in-game profile talks about how Enbarrmon's blessing modifies Craniummon. I agree, informally, that it is likely intended to still be Chrome Digizoid, and maybe if Bandai had a convenient way to get such clarifications from the designers they'd say "yes, obviously it's Chrome Digizoid", but I don't think it's appropriate to assert that it definitely is in wikivoice until we get that confirmation.
The Dragon Killers being made of Chrome Digizoid are specifically from the Adventure script regarding Taichi's WarGreymon.
On reexamination I'm not sure why I included Examon X in the list, although I will admit that given how the X-Antibody profiles work I'm not sure we should be asserting that they keep the details from the upper half. That's a larger discussion than just here, though.
My post was not a direct response to you but the article as a whole, so please understand I'm not accusing you of the BlackWarGreymon bit.
I believe the Akinakes bit is from a Sunburst/Moonlight quest in which it asks you to retrieve Chrome Digizoid so it can repair its swords.
MetalGarurumon X was added here, as far as I can tell based on assuming that MGmon lore from an Appmon card could be immediately assumed to apply to MGmon X -- without even the benefit of how the DRB profiles did X lore.
Specifically with the alloys, historically various profiles across media frequently switch between "do" and "to", and the Digimon.net report seems to explain this away with "Blue Digizoid, formally known as Blue-Chrondigizoit Hybrid Organism alloy", or in other words -- Blue-(Chron)digizoit (Hybrid Organism alloy) is fairly an abbreviation for its synonym, Blue Digizoid. The report also explicitly says that UlforcVeedramon uses Blue Digizoid (the report appears to be from 2022/07/28 while the UlforceV-dramon revised profile is from 2021/07/21, so the report should be considered more current). This is getting into a bit of synthesis of my own, but my interpretation of what the Report is saying is that digizoit definitionally becomes Digizoid when it is incorporated by a Digimon, in a similar way that magma that reaches the surface definitionally becomes lava or a meteoroid definitionally becomes a meteor when it enters atmosphere and a meteorite when it lands.KrytenKoro06 (talk) 09:59, 29 April 2026 (CDT)
