5[edit]

Could you do a front-page picture that has the number 5 in it somehow? :3 Just so that we have something besides the admin announcements letting people know. --Koroku 17:07, 22 November 2010 (CST)

Definitely can-do! I'm thinking of a parody of the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 video game cover, possibly with some staff or Xros Wars characters on the front.--devkyu 22:12, 22 November 2010 (CST)
Exactly. Have like Taiki and Shoutmon sitting on the top or something. Would be totally cute, and totally us. :3 --Koroku 22:46, 22 November 2010 (CST)

OVA[edit]

Hope you enjoyed the sub :) --Koroku 07:18, 1 March 2010 (UTC)

It was epic, thank you! Also, Culumon/Kuramon hug caused an adorable overload. --devkyu 07:41, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
110% agreed! --Koroku 08:26, 1 March 2010 (UTC)

Feral-wolf[edit]

You should Review everything Feral-wolf has done, allot of it is facts he thought up, and are total crap. He said Certain faqs says that V-dramon is the true evolved form of v-mon and its a Power focused form of XV-mon

Devkyu, I think your site is so cool!!! I have recently told everyone that I was so sorry about the pokemon thing. -Gojujan August 1, 9:52 (EDT)

Edits[edit]

Just a quick note, when your adding in statistics tables, please make sure that instead of removing the references, you move them into the templates. Also, if you want I can send you my "cheat sheet" which has all the main templates and such on it, for quick substitution. --Lightlowemon 08:13, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

Lightlowemon[edit]

Being a valuble and prominent member, do you think we should make him an admin in light of his contributions? --Ainz 03:53, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

I would have to agree. He's apparently been here long enough and hasn't run away screaming yet. Go for it! --devkyu 04:12, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

Why would I want to, Digimon is my favourite anime ever. Thank you very much for your support. --Lightlowemon 12:32, 31 May 2009 (UTC)

Questions[edit]

I wrote to User:Ainz, but I don't get an answer, so I ask you.

1. Do Wikimon have some kind of "image policy"? I ask, because i wanted to know if I can use images downloaded from here on my Wiki (of course credited).

2. I think that Category:Long Necked Dragon Type should be changed to Plesiosaur Type.

3. Do Baby I/Baby II Digimons have an attribute? I saw on lots of places that they're data. I remember that in DA Analyzers they being attributed as data, but they do the same with Andromon and Numemon. Final Cannon 02:47, 28 November 2009 (UTC)

Ainz told me to ask you[edit]

Excerpted:

I still have photoshop on my PC, so I'm going to try and redo the DigiMemories myself. However, I wanted to know if it would be possible for you to make some raster images for the crests (w/ Miracles and Fate) and the spirit elements (w/ heaven). I know this is a big request, so if it's a hassle I'll ask someone else. But you're the guy I thought would be able to do it best, so I wanted to ask you first. Thanks!KrytenKoro06 20:30, 13 September 2010 (UTC)

devkyu would probably be a better person to ask.--Ainz ( talk | contribs ) 20:48, 13 September 2010 (UTC)

Does that sound okay?KrytenKoro06 20:05, 14 September 2010 (UTC)

Sure, no problem! I'm just a bit confused, do you need cut-outs of just the symbols themselves (like from cards)? Half asleep at the moment so my brain isn't quite functioning. --devkyu 17:12, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
Ahahahah I suck at this. Yes, just the symbols.KrytenKoro06 17:54, 24 March 2012 (CDT)

The Lee's[edit]

I reverted the move because the official spelling is given as what they were ([1]), and I wasn't sure if you knew that, but if there was a deeper reason behind it (policy or some such), then I apologize.KrytenKoro06 07:45, 22 November 2010 (CST)

It was to make everything consistent with the Japanese spelling/pronunciation, especially with the rest of the family. --devkyu 14:18, 22 November 2010 (CST)

Question[edit]

Would you happen to know what this kind of thing is about? Does he have a source at Toei, or is it just from chatter on 2ch?KrytenKoro06 08:08, 27 January 2011 (CST)

I'm unsure of the exact source assume it's likely more Toei tour pictures posted up on 2ch, like those blurry poster of the armies or upcoming digixros lines.--devkyu 15:46, 27 January 2011 (CST)

Broken Omegamon Art[edit]

Hello, one of the Digimon Mini artwork pieces, specifically Omegamon art mini2.gif, appears to be corrupted. Can you reupload it? --Grandy02 13:00, 24 March 2011 (CDT)

Reuploaded it, but checking the Mini's original site, it just seems to cut off at the bottom like that. I was probably just a wider image before they sized it down for the subsite.--devkyu 13:40, 24 March 2011 (CDT)
I see, the image is also cut off in the Wayback Machine. But I noticed there is Mini artwork of Nanimon (not archived by the Wayback Machine), did you miss it or is it gone (for every other Mini Digimon, the artwork was uploaded)? --Grandy02 12:44, 7 May 2011 (CDT)
I remembered saving all the artwork that was there when the Mini site was up, but I don't have anything for Nanimon other than him in the image with Holydramon.--devkyu 14:04, 7 May 2011 (CDT)

just a question[edit]

why didn't you put the (concierto de aranjuez-digimon version) soundtrack in the soundtracks list ??

I have no clue what you are even talking about. Also, make sure to sign your messages. --devkyu 14:23, 3 June 2011 (CDT)

ok am sorry :) .... am talking about the soundtrack concierto de aranjuez (the sound which played when holy angemon had came ) ..... why didn't you put it in soundtracks list ?? -- User:Ahmody7500 03:12, 4 June 2011 (CDT)

The list is for full soundtracks listed specifically for Digimon. The specific song might be on one of the Digimon Adventure OST CDs. Although "Bolero" plays prominently in digimon, CDs with Bolero aren't listed there, because it is not specifically marked for Digimon (although the song is on one of the soundtracks). I hope that makes sense. --devkyu 05:21, 4 June 2011 (CDT)

Template help[edit]

Are you good with templates? I'm trying to make an organized version of ShoutmonDXU that will feed into SDTFrontEng. I thought you could put a table inside another table, but it's not working.KrytenKoro06 21:25, 17 June 2011 (CDT)

Bastemon giving V sign[edit]

Hello. At TV Asashi's site there is artwork of Bastemon giving the V sign. Unfortunately, the feet are incomplete, would it be possible to repair the image by editing and cropping a part of this picture (there is also another incomplete version, don't know if it helps in any way)? Thanks in advance. --Grandy02 05:40, 31 August 2011 (CDT)

Featured Article[edit]

Hello, does the wiki have any special guidelines on selecting "This Week's" Featured Article? There have only been two different ones in 2011, and I think it wouldn't be bad to have at least one FA per month. --Grandy02 14:04, 30 January 2012 (CST)

I agree (sorry for the long absence). The main reason for that is because originally Daisuke Motomiya was in charge of this, but as he started to become not being as active as in the past, I tried to compensate. Unless we do some kind of voting thing, although in general there are not that much continually active users here, but then again... --Ainz ( talk | contribs ) 23:49, 30 January 2012 (CST)
Okay, thanks for answer. What to do? It could just be changed by an admin as usual, otherwise we would have to see how many users would be interested in suggesting and voting for articles. --Grandy02 10:33, 31 January 2012 (CST)
Since as Ainz said, there aren't that many constantly active users, one option is to just click the Random page link a few times until something interesting pops up, or something relevant to the week's Xros Wars (coughfillermarathoncough) episode.--devkyu 16:53, 31 January 2012 (CST)

Colored pngs would be great. :D And if there were errors, let me know and I can ask her to fix them. If you want to upload the PSD files, sure. If you'd be okay with it, we might as well just put those out too - people can just translate them to their own language then. :3 --Koroku 13:58, 23 June 2012 (CDT)

Digimon Card Game[edit]

Hi, I'm new to this wiki. The design looks amazing o.o especially the blue sparkly background. Anyway, it's annoying how a lot of the item cards don't have their own page. Can someone make them? Digital Angel 07:56, 14 October 2012 (CDT)

We kind of don't have a working template to make them. So it will take time. Digistarlight.net and WtW's Card Terminal have some of them though.--devkyu 11:35, 14 October 2012 (CDT)

Digimon World Re:Digitize location name[edit]

Hi~ so I'm not quite sure about one of the location's name: ボンケーノ火山 (Bonke-no Kazan). Are you the right person to ask? I currently have it as Bombcano Volcano...but that's probably wrong, because now that I think about it, if they were trying to make it as "Bomb" they'd probably use ボム. I also noticed that in the image gallery, it's listed as Bonkeno Volcano...but this one ignores the ー between ケ and ノ...We don't really use accented letters in article names right? So which one do you suggest we use? Just wanted to make sure before I make the page, because I don't want to have to move pages and such. Thanks~ Jun 14:24, 20 December 2012 (CST)

Boncano Volcano? It's really however you want to do it, though the rhyme appears intentional.KrytenKoro06 22:09, 23 March 2013 (CDT)

Crusader images - permission question[edit]

Hello. I wanted to ask if our Polish Wikia could use Digimon Crusader card scans uploaded on Wikimon. Of course, we will link-back to this site as our source. Thanks in advance, Final Cannon (talk) 05:49, 30 September 2013 (CDT)

How do you credit images here in Wikimon? I'm asking because we have a certain system for this in Digimon Wiki, and I don't see anything about scan creditation in Wikimon's rules.

Also totally unrelated, but are those lots of screenshots being uploaded actually needed? They don't demonstrate anything unique, and to me they seem redundant to the official art. Anime... PAWĀ!!! 22:09, November 10, 2013 (UTC)
For most Bandai and Toei images which can be snagged off of official websites, we generally don't bother with credits since the image's category usually is a clear indication of where it comes from. For scans, although there hasn't been anything listed in the rules, we generally put a link with the source for anything that isn't Vande's manga scans or something I've scanned from my book collection personally. As for the screenshots... originally we usually had like... one or two per page for certain characters, but otherwise they stayed on the actual movie/episode page. To be honest people are being IDIOTS about uploading a ton of them, and it's always the digimon with the big tits (look at Lilithmon and Ranamon's pages). It IS getting excessive, especially since certain people can't seem to read the rules concerning them and keep getting warned. I might make a credits template to make it easier for scan uploads, and if this keeps up I'll give certain idiots who upload 2MB sized images the ban hammer. Again.--devkyu (talk) 22:15, 10 November 2013 (CST)

Books[edit]

Can you finish uploading the scans of the books you have? I already started covering Digimon King (I have even a translation of the first chapter) and Bandai's Official Digimon Digimon Encyclopedia in the Wiki, but I can't go further without the rest of the scans, specially since there seems to be full profiles on Taruki and Kadokura. Anime... PAWĀ!!! 20:31, March 3, 2014 (UTC)

Sure, I originally stopped because my scanner was being a miserable, spiteful bitch. I recently got a "new" one off a family friend that upgraded their's so as soon as I get that hooked up and running, I'll scan in the rest of the book. --devkyu (talk) 18:50, 16 March 2014 (CDT)
Uploading the rest of the book currently. Pages are currently untreated, will get around to that later. Uploading them to the usual directory. --devkyu (talk) 23:28, 24 March 2014 (CDT)

D-Arc Digivice[edit]

Hello Devkyu! I have two doubts about the D-Arc series Digimon, I hope you could solve them.
1. As I could see in some videos, in some versions (at least) the Baby forms of the Partner Digimon appear at the begining of the play, as It can be seen in this video, do you know if this happens with all of the Partner Digimon in all versions? (1/1.5, 2 and the Ultimate)
2. I've read in some discussions that the difference between the 1.0 and the 1.5 Version is that the 1.5 include the "black" forms of Terriermon. Do you know something about this?
Regards and thanks! Shadow Shinji (talk) 16:51, 18 June 2014 (CDT)

Star Wheel[edit]

Can you please not undo my edit, I was doing it based this discussion. Chimera-gui (talk) 17:55, 25 October 2016 (CDT)

I checked the manga chapter in question and it explicitly shows Chibickmon being used.--devkyu (talk) 18:01, 25 October 2016 (CDT)
Apparently I'm supposed to talk to you about this? To my memory, the chapter just says "Starmons", and the white Pickmon and Chibickmon are virtually indistinguishable in that manga. What did I miss?KrytenKoro06 (talk) 15:13, 31 October 2016 (CDT)
For perusal: Before SH. *ickmon in question ejecting adjacent to silver pickmons. All *ickmons Jogressing into SSmon.KrytenKoro06 (talk) 15:25, 31 October 2016 (CDT)
"Talk to me?" Okay, Pickmon have sunglasses, Chibickmon don't. It shows them explicitly without sunglasses going into the xros, thus it's a chibickmon. There's really no need to overthink it.--devkyu (talk) 16:02, 31 October 2016 (CDT)
Correction: Silver Pickmon have sunglasses and are the only variant that do, the White variant don't making them virtually indistinguishable from Chibickmon as Kryten pointed out. Chimera-gui (talk) 16:41, 31 October 2016 (CDT)
A correction for Chimera-gui: Silver Pickmon are the only variant that wears sunglasses. The red Pickmon also doesn't. Also, white Pickmon and Chibickmon have different arm shapes, but I don't remember if the manga keeps this distinction. Anime... PAWĀ!!! 23:36, October 31, 2016 (UTC)
Huh?? Please re-read my comment, I already said that Silver was the only Pickmon variant to wear sunglasses. I didn't mention the Red variant because it has nothing to do with this discussion. Chimera-gui (talk) 00:57, 1 November 2016 (CDT)
The arm shape of the component digimon is straight, like Chibickmon, rather than bent, like the cream Pickmon. Chill.--devkyu (talk) 14:28, 1 November 2016 (CDT)
Aren't Chibickmon supposed to be much smaller than Pickmon? The second image appears to show the SH ickmons as the same size as the silver Pickmons. The ShootingStarmon image might show a similar size-similarity, but the perspective on that is indecipherable.KrytenKoro06 (talk) 14:51, 10 November 2016 (CST)
I believe they are though I was only able to find one image featuring both for comparison: here Chimera-gui (talk) 20:10, 5 March 2017 (CST)

Attack Descriptions[edit]

For quite some time now I've been going down the site's list of Digimon and updating all of their attacks to make sure that they're complete and accurate. Recently Koroku had me change my email, so that now I'm receiving notifications when pages I've edited are changed, and today I was informed that a user named Tamaicoco has edited the attack descriptions for Lady Devimon and Jyureimon, which I had already done. I have two questions about this. First, although it sounds presumptuous, I don't think that the particular changes to LadyDevimon's attack descriptions should have been made, or at least should have been made differently, due to a mix of inaccuracies and very bad English. I wanted to ask you how to deal with that situation. The second, more minor thing is that Korean text for a Jyureimon attack exclusive to Digimon RPG was added under kanji/katakana, and I was wondering if that was an issue, since technically it's neither kanji nor katakana. Thank you for your time. TMS (talk) 13:52, 28 February 2016 (EST)

Attack Descriptions[edit]

About user TMS's questions.

first of all i think user TMS's attack descriptions of Lady Devimon has many imperfections. This is the contrast:

Skill Darkness Waves:

TMS's older edit: Unleashes a wave of darkness in the form of bats that burn up the enemy.

My edit:Unleashes a wave of dark red bats with purple cyclone or fire bats that burn opponent to a crisp.

in TV or the games ,this skill form always unleashes bats like dark red colour with purple cyclone. and fire bats only appeared in Digimon Adventure 02. “burn opponent to a crisp” quote from the official game Digimon Championship's digipedia database.and the game Digimon Savers: Another Mission's skill info also mention it.

Skill Poison:

TMS's older edit:Uses either a magic circle, its breath, a heart, or kicks and claw attacks to converts the opponent's power into dark energy, destroying them from the inside.

My edit:This skill includes multiple attack modes:(Summon a magic circle、Attack with energy breath、Release a heart-shaped energy wave、Spray poison smoke and Body attack) to converts the opponent's power into dark energy, destroying them from the inside.

i gotta say his descriptions totally confuse the reader,at least my version details has more complete.and his description like“a magic circle, its breath, a heart, or kicks and claw attacks”essentially lack of the auxiliary word.that's why make the whole sentence doesn't read smoothly.

Skill Binta:

TMS's older edit:Slaps an enemy repeatedly.

My edit:With a bizarre smile ,hit the enemy with strong slaps.

okay, This description from the official game Digimon Savers: Another Mission's skill info. and if he thought official description sucks. then he better get the more accurate version.

Skill Stun Whip:

TMS's older edit:Fires a bolt of electricity from its hands.

My edit:Fires a bolt of electricity from its hands.and shock the enemy with an electric shock.

I didn't change his description,i kept his description as the preceding sentence.last half sentence still from the game Digimon Savers: Another Mission's official description. Because “binta and Stun Whip” both as the exclusive skills of this game. about his seond question.

Jyureimon's skill "Energy Absorption"is only appeared in Korean game Digimon RPG.and this game had two server:Korean and English. so doesn't have japanese name.and Korean is the first server.english server shut down for years.so i think Korean name should write in it.

like i said the descriptions should be more complete. better to let the person understand at a glance for the best.

The official attack descriptions you mention, coming from the English-localized versions of the games, are often incorrect or belie the actual attack when the description is compared to the animation. My goal in describing the attacks is to do so as accurately as possible rather than quoting from the localized games. I also try to keep the descriptions concise, hence why I didn't add a bunch of extra verbs to LadyDevimon's Poison attack, etc. Lengthening the attack descriptions is something I'm willing to compromise on, but I'm not willing to compromise on the descriptions' accuracy.
On the subject of Jyureimon, according to the Digimon Battle wiki I found, its attacks in the English version are Cherry Bomb and Illusion Mist. Are we sure that Energy Absorption isn't just the Korean name for Illusion Mist? TMS (talk)

The Truth is TMS's descriptions are not accurate. If he questioned the official description of game.I don't know what else to say.my descriptions try to be simplify and complete at the same time. The point is make people understand at a glance. Not like after you watched still have to ponder to understand.maybe some peopele don't really know about this role.so it's easy to be bewilderment. the TMS's descriptions had contains several misleading statements. If he so-called concise and accurate means lose words and sentences.then is meaningless,Because he drained all the Essential.and like i said Digimon RPG is korean local game. Jyureimon's Energy Absorption is the Korean name of the English translation. English server have error occurred about skill mismatched the wrong name as very normal. And english server already closed.so use korean name for the most accurate named don't have any problem.the skill effects conforming the absorbed energy.Illusion Mist is release mist make the enemy have hallucinations.theres no absorption energy enactment. not yet.

Since starting this project on the attack descriptions I have spent countless hours hunting down and watching videos to make sure that attacks are described accurately. If an official description does not accurately describe what the attack is, it should not be used. If, for example, a localized game said that Mega Flame is Greymon punching the enemy, then it would be wrong and should not be used. After all the time and effort I've spent on research, it is painful to have shoddily translated attack descriptions copy/pasted in instead, especially in those cases where they do not accurately describe the attacks.
As for Jyureimon, I haven't been able to find a video yet in which it uses Energy Absorption, but if it involves mist then it's probably safe to assume that it is the Korean name for the attack referred to in Japan and the West as Illusion Mist, in which case I would put it down as a dub name, with a note that it's specifically the attack's Korean name. Just because the attack name is different doesn't mean it's a different attack (for example, Mega Flame and Nova Blast are just different names for the same attack). TMS (talk)

Excuse me?You talked like you have a lot of experience. You spend your time and energy research digimon's skills. so do i. Before i edit i always consider about it for a long time.I think i amended more better.if you edited perfect.why would i have to modification?I never edit a Digimon i didn't really know.but once i modify a digimon's descriptions.that means i really acquaintance with this digimon.and there always have source.Skill description only have two ways: Official or not.No matter how to describe.it's gotta be closest official various appearances.like TV、game、manga and card etc.. i did my best to let people really know about skill details.and also Uncomplicated. Jyureimon's Energy Absorption is absorb the life-force from a opponent.it's like yellow energy as enemy's HP suck into the Jyureimon's body. you really want to know ,you can play RPG.if you don't know .that's not my business,i know and i provide source that's enough.

Thank you for the Energy Absorption description. It would seem that it is not intended to be Illusion Mist. I don't have anything more to say at the moment. I'll wait until Devkyu or someone else in a position of authority weighs in on this. TMS (talk)
Actually, I would like to ask if there is some kind of database out there for the Korean names of the Digimon RPG attacks, which lists Energy Absorption, etc.

Digimon RPG don't have any digimon's information.,not even the Field Guide and skill descriptions.only have F1 skill(에너지흡수)and F2 skill(Cherry Bomb). and Angewomon's F1 skill did the same game, korean named as "천국의 미소"—(Heaven's smile) Skill effects like angewomon hands in the air and spin around, pink dust also spin around the angewomon, then appear digital symbol penetrate enemy like fairy dust. and digimonbattle wikia annotate english name as Sledge Dash. i'ma like like wtf?

Yeah, I noticed that the Digimon Battle wikia uses Sledge Dash, which appears to be a typo. YouTube videos show that the attack is actually called Heaven's Charm in the English version of the game. I'm trying to learn more about Digimon RPG, and it would be convenient if there's a Korean website out there that lists the Digimon's original attack names.

that is not possible, because RPG not the japanese game.and english server is after the Korea server.that looks like Korea named more authoritative than english version. check the english ver. Find so many skill named very abstract.english reduction is very lowly.that game doesn't have popularity.so at present included english skill names site only can found on the Digimon Battle wikia.and still not comprehensive.there is no website features Korean name's summary. Not to mention Korean nomenclature's original skill name..

I think it's pretty clear that the preference should be to describe the attacks as we actually see them, vice whatever the official attack description says. If we can keep the wording similar, so much the better, but it doesn't make sense to call black white just because Bandai says it is; it'll just lead either to people being confused or mistrustful of Wikimon if they see it describing an attack otherwise from what their eyes tell them. It also avoids Wikimon borrowing excessive amounts of copyrighted material. I think it's also worthwhile to avoid using badly-worded sentences simply because Bandai used them for example, what was added with the Lady Devimon electrical attack is completely redundant and sounds awful strange to the native ear without conveying any additional information. ShiningCelebi (talk) 17:22, 3 March 2017 (CST)

Since there has official description.and we should use it.even if have to modifications and that'll be okay.Subjective description is based on the premise that without official basis.maybe the english version dosen't read fluently.but if there has important content still should be written to the file.

"[I]t'll just lead either to people being confused or mistrustful of Wikimon if they see it describing an attack otherwise from what their eyes tell them". What? Sorry Shining Celebi, but I gotta disagree with this due to the fact that Wikimon has the official profiles at the top of the page, so any reader can read the profile and verify that it has the same description of the attack. If this is a concern even so, then we can just do what Digimon Wiki does: describe all versions of the attack, both that of the official profile, and all different depictions of the attack in Digimon media. Anime... PAWĀ!!! 08:58, 9 March 2017 (CST)

I've been describing all of the different ways the attacks have been depicted, but the Data Squad attack descriptions are poorly translated and often misleading. If we could at least find and accurately translate the Another Mission descriptions I would feel better about it. Also, I'm not sure why Tamiacoco thinks the Data Squad descriptions should take precedence over the profile descriptions or how the attacks are used in the anime. -TMS

Still alive/e-mail?[edit]

What's a good e-mail to get a hold of you with? Assuming you're still alive. Thanks --Koroku (talk) 23:17, 8 March 2017 (CST)

Still alive! Just been busy with work plus net had been a bit comcastic. My phone does not like wikis that much. Still Devkyu at Gmail works, plus Devkyu on Skype.--devkyu (talk) 13:27, 9 March 2017 (CST)
Cool beans. You see the e-mail thread about the server move? --Koroku (talk) 13:31, 9 March 2017 (CST)
Yeah but it wouldn't let me on with my login at I got past the admin section for some reason--devkyu (talk) 15:07, 9 March 2017 (CST)
You might want to tell pawit - we want to make sure stuff's good before the move. --Koroku (talk) 16:35, 9 March 2017 (CST)

Inactivity[edit]

Still alive! Just... working 60 hours a week until summer leaves me kind of. Too exhausted to do my usual obsessive mass-editing after I collapse from day job. Also have another batch of digivice artwork almost done so. Yeeeep still here. --devkyu (talk) 22:25, 26 May 2017 (CDT)

Artbook 20th Anniversary[edit]

Hello. Have you got too, by any chance, the brand-new artwork for Lekismon, Crescemon, Coronamon, Flaremon & Firamon, as well as Daemon (Cloaked), also from this same Artbook? --Shadow Shinji (talk) 06:16, 16 January 2018 (CST)

I haven't had a chance to do the cleanup for those yet, but I certainly can make those the next ones I work on.--devkyu (talk) 00:22, 17 January 2018 (CST)
That's amazing!! Thanks. --Shadow Shinji (talk) 03:42, 17 January 2018 (CST)
Sorry for bothering you again; the artwork from the Digimon Story Visual Artbook that you have reuploaded to Wikimon have such an amazing effect! I was wondering if you could apply the same filters and so on to the artworks of Armamon, Omega Armamon Burst Mode, Chicchimon, and the rest of Lost Evolution please? That would be so dope. Thanks you very much in advance. --Shadow Shinji (talk) 03:48, 19 January 2018 (CST)
No problem! If you see any other images that need adjustments just point me in that direction. I have some downtime while I'm out of work for a while so I'll have time. I do have a copy of the Digimon Story artbook so I can get some pretty large scans to work from as well. --devkyu (talk) 02:56, 20 January 2018 (CST)

Lost Evo profiles[edit]

Hi Devkyu! I saw your page on the untranslated profiles, and I had the lost evo profiles sitting in my comp so I pasted it here: https://pastebin.com/wftnsnGc

I haven't gone to look through so idk if any other profiles are missing, but I have these text files if you need them: Sunburst/Moonlight JP and EN profiles, SXW JP Profiles, Championship JP and EN profiles, Championship JP and EN attack descriptions. I have the JP release of Hacker's Memory if you need to check anything from there, but I don't have the whole dictionary filled out (I also have D-Project if you need profiles from there, but same I don't have the whole dictionary filled). Anyway just let me know if you need anything! --Garmmon (talk) 00:27, 16 July 2018 (CDT)

edit: I've put the text files I had on hand in a pastebin here if you need them: https://pastebin.com/u/garrrzzz --Garmmon (talk) 10:00, 16 July 2018 (CDT)
Thanks! I super appreciate it. I'm also looking at my collection of Digimon Zukan books and internally crying because of how much translation work that is going to be at some point because just one has over 500 profiles in it.--devkyu (talk) 01:04, 17 July 2018 (CDT)

Terriermon Joshu[edit]

Can we use your edited render pic of him for the profile on the Digimon Wiki?Muur (talk) 14:11, 7 August 2018 (CDT)

Bearmon page[edit]

Hello. I've just realized that the Bearmon page lacks from the edit box in the right of the "Image Gallery" section. Do you know why this is happening and how to fix it? Thank you! --Shadow Shinji (talk) 19:56, 15 October 2018 (CDT)

Chinese names[edit]

I've changed the article names, as they were using the Japanese translation of the name, rather than the Chinese names, which only came from a fan sub. when I looked on the site (wikimon), someone was actually supposed to change the names back in 2012 (but said theyd do it later as they were busy and forgot. not sure if they were/are an admin) so yeah. d-cyber didnt come out in japan, only china, meaning they have chinese names. i've corrected all the relevant links and such. just dropping a note in case you notice what I did (as you made the pages) and then revert and such not realising what happened. chinese characters, but were using the japanese transalation. you can actually find a discussion here on it from years ago: https://withthewill.net/threads/7406-Digimon-Manga-Archive/page2 and I messaged other admin TMS about this so an admin does know the changes I made. the "japanese names" are left as redirects to avoid as much confusing as possible, due to a decde of the "japanese names" being used here.Muur (talk) 21:34, 18 January 2019 (CST)

Erismon vs Herissmon[edit]

Could you please chime in on Talk:Erismon? I understand that the original rename may have been done without due process, but I’d like to know the reasoning (if any) behind “Erismon” still being preferred to “Herissmon” and formally propose renaming the article to “Herissmon” and keeping “Erismon” as a redirect on the basis of it being an equally good phonetic match to the kana (as French <h> is silent), more etymological and the only official romanization seen so far. (I haven’t been able to find rules describing exactly how this should be done, other than that one shouldn’t just go and rename pages, so I’m sorry if this is still not good enough. Regardless, even if you want to reject this proposal, please explain why.) Chortos-2 (talk) 18:03, 11 February 2019 (CST)

Guilmon's Toei image[edit]

Hello there, Devkyu! So, listen up, I noticed that the paw things on Guilmon's Toei art are white instead of brown (see here: https://wikimon.net/images/2/29/Guilmon.gif). With that said, here's an image of Toei!Guilmon from DigimonWiki (digimon.fandom.com) with its paw things being brown (their correct color): https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/digimon/images/e/e7/Guilmon_t.gif/revision/latest?cb=20121125233641

If you ever manage to update Guilmon's Toei art, please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Sincerely, Marusero

Troubling User[edit]

This user called "Luph" is constantly deleting useful information from certain pages and in general, it usually makes quite problematic contributions or of doubtful use for the website. Morphomon Toei control art[edit]

Hello Devkyu. I've found this other base picture of the art of Morphomon (arguably of better quality). I was wondering how were you able to crop the art from the original one in that case. Thank you in advance. --Shadow Shinji (talk) 01:46, 4 March 2020 (CST)

Use of Wikimon translations[edit]

Dear Devkyu,

my name's Romsstar. I'm the Teamlead of the Digimon Fan Translation group Operation Decoded. We work on translating the Digimon games Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode for the 3DS and Lost Evolution for the DS.

It so happens that Decode has ingame cards and they use the reference book descriptions for them ingame. It would be a huge help for our project if you could give us permission to reuse the translations you host on Wikimon in our project.

We would credit Wikimon.net as a whole webpage of course and we also distribute our final product, the patch (just the patch) under the Creative Commons License as well.

I would appreciate a response.

Best regards,

I personally have no objections to using Wikimon's translations. As long as the other Admins do not see a problem with it, it should be fine.--devkyu (talk) 17:04, 5 November 2020 (CST)

Acronym Caps[edit]

I'm confused on why some digimon like Jesmon, Ebemon, and Bemmon have parts of their names capitilized when it doesn’t make sense to put them that way and no sources list them as such.

you forgot DORUmon and MCmon.Muur (talk) 21:58, 19 October 2021 (CDT)

Yeah, guess i should throw those in too.

Metal Etemon[edit]

Hi. I just removed an unsourced evolution from Metal Etemon's page saying it evolves from Tonosama Mamemon with any Perfect Level Digimon. I prefer not to remove info unless I am absolutely certain, and this seemed like a simple mistake since in the Hyper Colliseum card game it evolves from Tonosama Gekomon with any Perfect, and this evolution wasn't featured on Tonosama Mamemon's page. But, I started getting a little paranoid I might have removed a valid evolution, so I thought I would check with the person who added it to be sure, and it's been on the page since you created it. I know it's a long shot you would remember something so minor from 15 years ago, but I figured I should still check, just to be safe. KiraraKidohara (talk) 03:00, 18 January 2022 (CST)

If it's unsourced, more than likely someone just made it up, so no worries! I'll go through and double check in a bit.--devkyu (talk) 21:46, 22 January 2022 (CST)

Delete Request[edit]

Can you please delete this page Wingdramon (Ghost Game)? Also, what requirement do users have to meet to be granted deleting permissions? ShikaSS (talk) 07:26, 6 June 2022 (CDT)

Only Admins/Moderators can delete things. It's easiest to just mark pages or items that need deleting with Category:Deletion and one of us will get to clearing it out eventually.--devkyu (talk) 15:04, 6 June 2022 (CDT)
Thank you for deleting the page and for the explanation. I'll use that category in future occurrences. ShikaSS (talk) 17:01, 6 June 2022 (CDT)

Settle a dispute[edit]

I changed the pendulum evos back to their original, then Humulos changed them back, citing his own website, which like his changes, came out shortly after the version 20th, and some links that don't work. Maybe he got the originals mixed up with the version 20th? Butamon (talk) 15:25, 19 June 2023 (CDT)

Gonna be Digimon King Scans[edit]

You had previously in Misty Skies scans from the guidebook "Digital Monster: I'll Become the Digimon King!". The website seems now to be down however and I could only find a few pages through the internet archive. I was wondering if you still have a more complete set of scans from it? -- Relux (talk) 19:45, 30 September 2023 (CET)

I'll have to check my external drives sometime later to see how many pages I actually scanned from it. But I do have the physical book so later in the month when I have some free time, I can haul out the scanner and see about uploading what pages I didn't before. --devkyu (talk) 23:08, 1 October 2023 (CDT)
That would be incredibly helpful! I would be incredibly thankful if you were willing to do that. -- Relux (talk) 10:16, 3 October 2023 (CET)
Hi, sorry for bothering you. Just to check if you had time to check if you had the scans. -- Relux (talk) 15:55, 11 November 2023 (CET)
