I dunno if you'd even want to, but would you be interested in admin access to the Facebook page? I think it'd be a nice use of it for when the featured stuff changes, and since you seem to be doing those mostly now... :) Lemme know. Dictionary profiles[edit]

Sorry about the wait on these, I'm hitting them now along with the Darknesses. Also, I noticed that someone edited the Marsmon article. Can you tell me if any other of my translations have been modified since I posted them?KrytenKoro06 22:49, 9 June 2012 (CDT)

No problem. In case of edited profiles, the only ones I recall are Dukemon and Dagomon. --Grandy02 04:51, 10 June 2012 (CDT)

AutoWikiBrowser[edit]

I don't have permission to perform automatic edits, but I think you do. Would you mind running AutoWikiBrowser with the substitutions set up to replace half-width kana symbols with full width (periods, commas, katakana) on all articles in the Digimon Life profile category? I think KaiserGreymon's article has the half-width symbols, to get you started.KrytenKoro06 01:00, 30 June 2012 (CDT)

I've asked Koroku whether it is possible to give you the permission to use that tool (I haven't used it yet), I hope that's okay for now. By the way, maybe you could take a look at OpenTalk and see if there's anything you can help with? I even would like to ask more questions on talk pages, but I lack the motivation to do so when that list only keeps getting longer. --Grandy02 09:06, 1 July 2012 (CDT)

Nice to meet you![edit]

Hello, Grandy02 (do you have a nickname or something? I dunno, Grandy02 sounds like a machine name). I'm a newbie in this wikia, but I got a certain experience with wikis (i was system operator in my country's wiki). Why you don't tell me how you all work/edit here? I can be more useful like this. WM ♥ Talk to me, baby! F16.gif 09:50, 26 November 2012 (CST)

Hi, welcome to Wikimon, nice to meet you, too. :-) "Grandy02" is derived from my real name (my real-life nickname being "Andy"), the "02" was added because "Grandy" was already in use when I registered at a website for the first time almost a decade ago. If you look at the "Recent changes" page, you might see that Wikimon currently doesn't have that many users who are regularly active. I joined this site in late 2010, and mainly edit Digimon species pages, adding (untranslated) profiles, appearances and sprites to them. Since long-time admin Ainz has become inactive, I also update contents on the main page. But there are a lot of other things to add as well, the Tasks template gives a good summary on that issue. Also, lots of pages have empty sections, as you have probably noticed. In any way, have fun at Wikimon. :-) --Grandy02 14:22, 26 November 2012 (CST)

Re: Re:Digitize Digimon List[edit]

Hi Grandy, sorry for such a late reply. I have not played through too many cycles of Digimon, but here are the ones that I can confirm:

Baby: Botamon, Dodomon, Jyarimon, Poyomon, Yuramon (I can confirm that these are the only 5 you can get)

Baby II: Budmon, Gigimon, Koromon, Tokomon, Wanyamon (I can confirm that these are the only 5 you can get)

Child: Agumon, Gaomon, Gomamon, Guilmon, Patamon (and 8 other ???s)

Adult: Gaogamon, Greymon, Growmon, Seadramon, Tailmon (and 14 other ???s)

Perfect: Angewomon, Blue Meramon, Mach Gaogamon (and 17 other ???s)

Ultimate: Marin Angemon (and 21 other ???s)

I guess I'll notify you when I get more? And should I go ahead and reduce the list for Baby II or should I let you handle it?

Thanks. Jun 16:10, 16 April 2013 (CDT)

Hi Grandy, I am currently working on the Unobtainable Digimon list, and it just never occurred to me that the Vitium can be classified as Digimon >.> But I guess it DOES have 3 levels, so I'll go ahead and include it. Thanks! Jun 13:10, 20 April 2013 (CDT)

Hi Grandy, sorry to bother you once again. There are 5 unobtainable Baby II Digimon in the list. However, they appear nowhere in the game, and only appear in the animated opening scene. Should we still include these 5 Digimon on the list? Thanks! --Jun 23:16, 26 April 2013 (CDT)

Hey Grandy, thanks for adding all the opening only Digimon on the list! I will continue to work on completing the list.
On a side note, do you know who added DORUgamon, DORUgremon, Sealsdramon, and Paildramon to the previous list? AKA on what sort of "promotional material" did they appear on? Because I have a hunch that whoever saw DORUmon just automatically assumed DORUgamon and DORUgremon (ridiculous that DORUmon is Unobtainable to begin with), and I have completed the whole game (minus a few Colosseum battles/tournaments) without running into any of the 4. (It is possible that they appear as collectible cards, as I do not have too many cards yet). And we are NOT adding the card-only Digimon as "unobtainable Digimon" are we? or else the list will be HUGE. Well, I add more as I find out more. Thanks for your helps! --Jun 13:39, 27 April 2013 (CDT)
Hi Grandy. I can confirm that Sealsdramon and Paildramon are cards in the game. I suspect the same for DORUgamon and DORUgremon (as Alphamon is a card as well, if that means anything). I will remove these 4 Digimon from the list until further notice (aka until I run into them in the Colosseum, maybe. But I highly doubt it). --Jun 13:22, 29 April 2013 (CDT)

Re: Digivice Burst and Pendulum X 2.5[edit]

Hi Grandy. Those were meant to be temporary removals as I go through every single source to confirm. The thing is that I was sleeping (different time zone most likely), so I had to halt my progress.

I found out that Monzaemon and Vamdemon, along with several others, can be fought after a specific Plate Charge in order to win special items. I'm pretty sure they're not obtainable though. I will make the changes today.

Removing Pendulum X 2.5 was my bad, as apparently 100 of them existed, which explains Ulforce V-dramon X-Antibody's appearance, replacing Dinotigemon. I will make these changes today as well.

Thanks for keeping up with my edits! --Jun 13:30, 10 May 2013 (CDT)

HCO Template[edit]

Hi, thanks for your help with the template! :) But I just wanted to ask if instead of using templates to input the Japanese names, whether it's possible to directly input the Japanese names? Because some card names like 'Nature Spirits' already have templates, but they're different from the actual card names; also I think it would be less troublesome not having to create a new page for each card? The current HC Digimon card templates also have roughly the same problem, where under the special abilities box, the way the abilities are worded in Japanese have changed over the years but the template can only show one style of wording; it would be easier to input the Japanese text directly for each card instead. It's okay if it's too much trouble though, I don't know how hard all this coding is and I already appreciate the help with the templates! --Garmmon 03:40, 26 May 2013 (CDT)

Hello, you are right, I didn't have thought of that. I hope the template now inlcudes all things you wanted. :-) The "mysterious number" can be added with "typenum" and appears under the Type. --Grandy02 09:55, 28 May 2013 (CDT)
I think it should have everything! I'll get back to you if I run into any problems :P And alright, I'll go back and add those to the card pages when I have time. Thanks for the help!! --Garmmon 12:52, 28 May 2013 (CDT)

Collectors and Crusader Cards[edit]

How are you guys getting the new images?KrytenKoro06 (talk) 22:02, 18 July 2013 (CDT)

In case of Collectors, I'm just trying out numbers in the URL Yuetmoon told you (otherwise I wouldn't know), like this (currently the highest number, the next cards are found under number 1500 and up, but are mostly item and evolution cards and repeats and such). The cards in original design are found under this URL. I have no clue about Crusader cards. ----Grandy02 (talk) 05:27, 19 July 2013 (CDT)

Parukeruru-san[edit]

Hey, just so you know, Parukeruru-san, who originally was helping Card Terminal, is donating his scans here to Wikimon. They may be duplicates to what were on Card Terminal, but since he made the original scans, they should be fine.

Just so you know :) --Koroku (talk) 23:00, 26 July 2013 (CDT)

Okay, thanks for the information! --Grandy02 (talk) 09:45, 27 July 2013 (CDT)

Cards[edit]

Hi! Why have you deleted many of the cards I've uploaded? I said Devkyu they aren't from With the Will Cards Terminal...Charles.929 (talk) 05:34, 1 September 2013 (CDT)

Hello, please compare the scans from the Chinese site with the scans found under the URL Devkyu told you about on his talk page. They are exactly the same (though the contrast has been altered), the Chinese site probably took them without permission. --Grandy02 (talk) 05:44, 1 September 2013 (CDT)

How do you credit images here in Wikimon? I'm asking because we have a certain system for this in Digimon Wiki, and I don't see anything about scan creditation in Wikimon's rules. Anime... PAWĀ!!! 21:48, November 3, 2013 (UTC)

Personally, I usually add the source page of an image in its page, but I'm not aware of any rules on giving credit in Wikimon. You should ask Devkyu about this, he has written the rules. --Grandy02 (talk) 08:28, 4 November 2013 (CST)

Images[edit]

I noticed there are many screenshots being uploaded and posted in the species pages. Are all of those really neccessary. I mean, they aren't demonstrating anything and have no clear purpose. If it were control art, I would be okay, but these are screenshots that seem to have no clear purpose. Anime... PAWĀ!!! 20:05, November 8, 2013 (UTC)

This one, for example, seems to be subject of controversy by Digni. He is reuploading another image on its place which is not even from the episode the title claims to be, which seems like a violation of the rules. Anime... PAWĀ!!! 02:04, November 9, 2013 (UTC)/23:04, November 8, 2013 (Brasília, summertime)
Well, those screenshots show some scenes of the anime the Digimon appears in, and it's nice to have those sections illustrated instead of just plain text. They have been added since Wikimon's early days, and I don't think that something's wrong with them. In case of that Lilihmon image, I've noticed that Digni and Charles switched it many times. Next time I'll block the image page, but for now it has been replaced by another one. --Grandy02 (talk) 14:05, 10 November 2013 (CST)
The problem is, they don't demonstrate anything unique. I don't see why it's necessary to have screenshots of them just for the sake of having screenshots. They are redundant because these Digimon have the same appearance in every series. I don't see why it's needed to demonstrate them.
But the Lilithmon image, the current version is the wrong image (and from the wrong episode), and I assume it's taken from Digimon Wiki by the file proportions. If you are going to keep the image here instead of deleting it, then revert it and block it now. Anime... PAWĀ!!! 22:06, November 10, 2013 (UTC)
I still think these images are useless as they don't demonstrate anything unique outside of arbitrarily random anime scenes, but Digni keeps removing images when you told him multiple times to not do it. Why don't you block him? Anime... PAWĀ!!! 09:45, December 3, 2013 (UTC)
Maybe I'm a little more "forgiving" than Devkyu. Anyway, I will start a discussion on the Community Portal page to clarify whether the number of screenshots should have a fixed limit. --Grandy02 (talk) 10:57, 5 December 2013 (CST)

Crusader Artwork[edit]

Hi Grandy! I would like to know what we finally do with the Crusader artwork as we mentioned the other day. We should finally put all of them into the PNG format or we should keep the JPG format? In my opinion, we should keep the JPG format because not all of them can be found with the PNG format and that would not be aesthetic (Fairimon Artwork box is an example); however the truth is that PNG format mantains the tranparency and the quality of the image. Anyway, I expect your decision. Charles.929 (talk) 11:39, 14 March 2014 (CDT)

If the original format is PNG, with transparency and all, it should remain PNG and not converted to a lossy format like JPG. I don't think that "aesthetics" depend on the used file formats. However, images that are in JPG format from the start (e.g. the Reference Book artwork) should not be converted to PNG if there are no modifications made or something, as that would cause nothing but an increase in file size while the image would still look exactly the same. --Grandy02 (talk) 06:56, 16 March 2014 (CDT)

Junomon Hysteric Mode[edit]

Can you look into this? As far as I've found, the Collectors cards don't specify groups, and JHM's profile doesn't mention the Olympos XII in any way.KrytenKoro06 (talk) 13:50, 20 April 2014 (CDT)

I asked Yottamon about this, and got a response. Is that screenshot good enough? --Grandy02 (talk) 11:43, 25 April 2014 (CDT)

Beelzebumon (2010 Version)[edit]

Hello! I've noticed that this profile indicates that Beelzebumon 2010 Version is part of the Seven Great Demon Lords, although the description seems to refer to the classical Beelzebumon?, could you take a look? Charles.929 (talk) 01:26, 6 May 2014 (CDT)

It says that it is a Demon Lord Type, there is no mention of The Seven Great Demon Lords (七大魔王) in its profile at all.--devkyu (talk) 03:59, 6 May 2014 (CDT)

Hello, it's the profile of original Beelzebumon rather than the 2010 version. The same happened with Cyberdramon's profile at that site. And blue Atlur Kabuterimon's profile is the one of the red version. Those are just mistakes. --Grandy02 (talk) 07:59, 6 May 2014 (CDT)
Great, thanks for clarifying.

X-Antibody Digimon[edit]

Hi Grandy! I have a doubt with the evolutions concerning X-Antibody Digimon. For example in the case of Pteranomon X-Antibody. In this Bx-53 card states that Triceramon X-Antibody evolves from a jogress evolution between Pteranomon and Tylomon. Which Pteranomon is it, the "normal" one or the one who possesses the X-Antibody? As this there are many examples. Charles.929 (talk) 05:18, 13 May 2014 (CDT)

Hi, to be honest, I don't know enough about the card games to answer this. If there is no specification of "blue frame" or "red frame", it probably refers to both, but I'm not sure. I guess Devkyu knows more about the game. --Grandy02 (talk) 05:28, 13 May 2014 (CDT)
Without a translation of the updated rulebook from the set the red frame cards started, we are actually not particularly sure. Some of the cards specify red or blue frame, while others don't. Until I manage to score a set with a booklet intact (they rarely pop up), we have assumed that unless it specifies red or blue, that it meant either card was acceptable for evolution requirements.--devkyu (talk) 03:42, 31 May 2014 (CDT)

Template: XA[edit]

Hello! I have noticed that many X-Antibody Digimon pages lack from the Template:XA. For example, Alphamon and Alphamon: Ouryuken. Do you know how to fix it? :) Charles.929 (talk) 11:35, 20 May 2014 (CDT)

For the inclusion of the template, there needs to be a page of exactly the same name as the respective Digimon page, but followed by an "A" (e.g. "AlphamonA" for Alphamon or "Agumon X-AntibodyA" for Agumon X-Antibody), then it is automatically added. That page only consists of a redirect. I added it for Alphamon: Ouryuken, but Alphamon already has the template. --Grandy02 (talk) 12:53, 20 May 2014 (CDT)

Ok, great. Yes I know, it was just an example for comparing. By the way, may you ask Devkyu about what we discussed the other day? Thanks. Charles.929 (talk) 14:13, 20 May 2014 (CDT)

Lilithmon's Level[edit]

Miscellanea[edit]

Hello, could you help me in some questions? The first one, I can't get the X-antibody Indicator template into the Tokomon X-Antibody page. And the other one is, do you know if the X-Antibody issue is a recurring theme in the game Digimon World X? As far as I know, it does, but I'm note sure exactly how. Thanks. Shadow Shinji (talk) 19:24, 7 June 2014 (CDT)

Hello, I fixed the Tokomon X issue (normally the X-Antibody icon appears within the same space of the box as the Field icons, but a few X Digimon such as Tokomon X don't have a Field, and the templates mistakenly used just Tokomon rather than Tokomon X-Antibody for the those exceptions, like Fufumon and Dodomon). In case of the game, I don't really know much about it and couldn't tell you more than what other fansites/wikis say, sorry. --Grandy02 (talk) 12:44, 10 June 2014 (CDT)

Crusader[edit]

Hi Grandy! Have you know any website where Crusader's cards can be picked of? By the bye, do you know something about this?? Thanks. Shadow Shinji (talk) 02:59, 20 June 2014 (CDT)

Hello, I don't know where the cards can be taken from, maybe you could ask Yottamon who uploaded most of them? Sorry, all I know about the D-Arc toy comes from this site. --Grandy02 (talk) 08:28, 22 June 2014 (CDT)

Digimon Anime 2015[edit]

Apparently, a new anime was announced today.

According to this SiliconEra article:

>>And finally, a new anime has been announced as well. It will be a direct sequel to Adventure (and consequently Zero Two) and feature Taichi, age 17, in high school. Above is the trailer with English text with the tagline “Now, Again, the adventure evolves.” The anime will premiere Spring of 2015.<<

The announcement coincided with a number of other announcements concerning the previous seasons of the anime. The trailer was pretty devoid of information but had a few tidbits as noted above.

I think we should create at least a basic Digimon Anime 2015 page until we get a full name. --Part-Time Digimon Fan - Mackinz (talk) 18:52, 1 August 2014 (CDT)

Another news source reports on it. --Part-Time Digimon Fan - Mackinz (talk) 15:13, 2 August 2014 (CDT)
Thanks for the hint, I added a brief message and links to the two articles to the news page. But feel free to edit Template:NewsInput yourself. As it will most likely use the Digimon Adventure name, "Digimon Adventure 2015" would be a better tentative name, I think. Anyway, go for it. --Grandy02 (talk) 04:36, 3 August 2014 (CDT)

User:Devkyu has created the Digimon Adventure 2015 page. I created Digimon Anime 2015 as a redirect similar to how Digimon Anime 2010 was made for Digimon Xros Wars. However User:‎Daisuke Motomiya created another anime page earlier, Digimon 2015. I suggest deleting the Digimon 2015 page, and I'm telling you this directly because I can't find a rule for page deletions. Also, the {{Series Nav Full}} thing (wherever it is hosted on the server) needs to be updated. --Part-Time Digimon Fan - Mackinz (talk) 01:39, 4 August 2014 (CDT)

I added the link in the template. It can be accessed and edited like any other template (when you edit a page, scroll to the bottom and you'll see a list of templates used within it under the "Save page" button). I changed "Digimon 2015" to a redirect for now. For deletion requests, users usually write on the talk page or the page itself or contact an admin like you did. There really is no fixed rule on this, but gladly, it rarely has to be done anyway. --Grandy02 (talk) 11:30, 4 August 2014 (CDT)

Okay, I have done as much as I can on my end. The previously listed pages need to be deleted now, and then the following pages need moving to previously-listed pages:
If you or a different moderator could do that soon, that would be great. :)

Could you take a look into the section of the Name & Etymology of the Behemoth's page, specifically the digi-letters paragraph, there is a mistake and I don't know how to fix it. Thanks :) . Shadow Shinji (talk) 19:13, 29 August 2014 (CDT)

Apparently Yuetmoon already fixed it. :) --Grandy02 (talk) 11:29, 1 September 2014 (CDT)

Double Notes[edit]

In the page of Grand Dracumon there is a duplicated note with the same content, but I don't know how to put them right like in this page. Could you bring me any help? Shadow Shinji (talk) 10:27, 1 October 2014 (CDT)

Rhythm[edit]

Hello Grandy! I was wondering if it would be interesting to merge the pages Rhythm and Rhythm (Savers), the same as it was done with Gennai. What do you think? Shadow Shinji (talk) 14:34, 10 November 2014 (CST)

Can you delete this redirect? I'm not an admin, so I can't do anything about it. Anime... PAWĀ!!! 20:35, 25 December 2014 (CST)

Cannonbeemon (Aircraft Carrier)[edit]

The oficial kanji of this Digimon is キャノンビーモン(空母型), being 型 Type, so I do not know if it should be added to the official name or just Cannonbeemon (Aircraft Carrier) it's ok. Shadow Shinji (talk) 14:15, 9 April 2015 (CDT)

Romanization[edit]

Hi Grandy. Do you know if in the romanization can be used the letter "W" at the beginning of a word? I've seen several pages that use it and other that don't (they put a "U" instead). Shadow Shinji (talk) 15:32, 21 May 2015 (CDT)
It is solved. Shadow Shinji (talk) 13:42, 22 May 2015 (CDT)

E-mail[edit]

What's a good e-mail to get a hold of you with? Thanks --Koroku (talk) 23:12, 8 March 2017 (CST)

Hello, the address is still the same (the one entered for account creation). Sorry for the long period of inactivity. --Grandy02 (talk) 14:16, 10 March 2017 (CST)
I actually can't see what email you have on file. --Koroku (talk) 14:43, 10 March 2017 (CST)
I've sent you a mail. --Grandy02 (talk) 05:21, 12 March 2017 (CDT)

Citing Attack Descriptions[edit]

Hopefully this is the right place for this (I'm still kind of new here). Recently there was some controversy on the wiki about attack descriptions. The problem's been cleared up, but since I've just become an admin I thought I'd suggest making a change to the way attack descriptions are handled. To avoid future argument and confusion, I was thinking it might be a good idea to cite the source of each different way an attack's been depicted. I figured you'd be the person to talk to about making that change. Not sure if it would require any tampering with the attack table template; probably it can be handled with the current one. I just wanted to run the idea by one of my seniors here before starting work on the project. --TMS (talk) 02:56, 11 March 2017 (EST)

Hi. Sorry, I haven't followed discussions recently. Any way, congratulations on becoming an admin! Sounds good, if the sources for the descriptions should be cited in general just like those for the names, what about an extra column under "Description"? I wonder whether the dub names need citations, too. --Grandy02 (talk) 11:48, 12 March 2017 (CDT)
Citing the dub names might also be a good idea. I'm thinking, though, that we should avoid adding new columns. It might cause the tables to look odd given the limited horizontal space. Also, for attacks that have been depicted several different ways, putting the references in a separate column might make it hard to tell which citation goes with which description. I think it might be better to just include the citations in the same column as the description or dub name being cited. Actually, since some Digimon have attacks that have been called by different Japanese names (like Skull Greymon's Ground Zero / Oblivion Bird), we may want to actually get rid of the current references column and just put the citations in the attack name column. What are your thoughts on the subject? --TMS (talk) 13:42, 12 March 2017 (EDT)
Yeah, you're right, too many columns wouldn't look good. Actually, it would often be redundant, as most Digimon don't have many more attacks than those described in the official profiles, so citations for the attack descriptions would only be necessary if the source of the name (e.g. DRB or an anime episode) doesn't include it or there are different depictions of the same attack. Regarding the current ref column, personally, I wouldn't miss it, and if citations are added for the dub names, I'd rather go without any ref column than a second one for them. --Grandy02 (talk) 13:38, 13 March 2017 (CDT)
Okay, sounds like a plan. Now the only issue is that I'm not sure how to alter templates. Is there some kind of universal change that needs to be done? --TMS (talk) 14:40, 13 March 2017 (EDT)
All rows of Template:T would have to be altered. I've asked Ainz, as he is the primary editor of the template. --Grandy02 (talk) 16:15, 14 March 2017 (CDT)
I agree with citing sources for dub names of attacks but I don't think they need an extra column, just simply add the citation after the name/each name, similarly for attacks with one description, especially those described on the DRB. As for the different descriptions of the same attack, to avoid things from being too congested, a template similar to this could be placed in the "desc" field where applicable. --Ainz ( talk | contribs ) 18:11, 14 March 2017 (CDT)
That's a good idea. I'm not sure how I would go about inserting that template into the current table, though. Would you be able to show me a full example of that? --TMS (talk) 00:09, 15 March 2017 (EDT)
I've put a working example on Lucemon: Falldown Mode's page. --Ainz ( talk | contribs ) 15:05, 15 March 2017 (CDT)
Thanks. Though it looks like some of the other templates on the page (and other pages) are screwed up now? --TMS (talk) 01:35, 16 March 2017 (EDT)
No idea what's caused that to happen, the Wikipedia interwiki links don't work either, probably something to do with the server migration. --Ainz ( talk | contribs ) 00:55, 16 March 2017 (CDT)
Should be fixed now Pawitp (talk) 08:40, 16 March 2017 (CDT)
