There is a Digimon Level called "Armor", gya. This refers to Digimon that have evolved using "Digimentals", which were created in ancient times. This time, I'll be going over Armors and Digimentals, gya.
"Armors" are the evolved forms of Digimon that use the power of the "Digimentals"; evolving through the use of Digimentals is called "Armor Evolution". Using a Digimental allows a Digimon to evolve without much hassle. There are affinities between Digimon and Digimentals, and if one uses a Digimental forcibly, then its power will be adversely affected and run wild, but if compatible, the power of the subsequent Armor evolution can jump up to Ultimate-class on occasion. Power-up items created in the ancient Digital World to promote evolution. For example, the "Digimental of Courage" seems to be based on data that was accidentally left behind when a Digimon with strong "Courage" met their demise. Each Digimental has the power of an element such as "Fire" and "Wind", and bestows its abilities upon the subsequent Armor evolution. Eleven have been discovered in total.
Has the attribute of "Thunder", allowing those to move around quickly, and use electric-based techniques when donning this Digimental. (This illustration is of Lighdramon)
Has the attribute of "Wind", allowing those to dance through the sky like the wind, and specialize in aerial combat when donning this Digimental. (This illustration is of Sethmon)
Has the attribute of "Plant", allowing those to acquire the ability to blend in with nature when donning this Digimental. (This illustration is of Yaksamon)
Has the attribute of "Earth", allowing those to acquire the power to control the earth, and gain the upper hand in underground battles when donning this Digimental. (This illustration is of Honeybeemon)
Has the attribute of "Water", allowing those to swim freely around the ocean and specialize in underwater combat when donning this Digimental. (This illustration is of Depthmon)
Has the attribute of "Holy", allowing those to exhibit absolute strength against evildoers with sacred power when donning this Digimental. (This illustration is of Sagittarimon)
Has the attribute of "Light", allowing those to acquire the ability to purify darkness with the power of light when donning this Digimental. (This illustration is of Gargomon)
As a mysterious Digimental, its attribute is unknown. Subsequent evolutions often take on the appearance of a cute animal. (This illustration is of Kangarumon)
Has the attribute of "Metal", allowing those to acquire tremendous defensive ability and overcome any predicament with miraculous power when donning this Digimental. (This illustration is of Magnamon)
A Digimental with an unknown attribute. At present, only three subsequent evolutions that use this Digimental have been confirmed. (This illustration is of Gold V-dramon)
Agumon Hakase's Review
It seems that Ancient Species Digimon used the power of Digimentals because they had a small range and few possibilities for evolution, gya. However, that technology has been lost to the ages, gya. Digimentals are not essential for Armor evolution, and since the power possessed by Armors varies, they are sometimes designated a Level based on their power for simplicity's sake, gya.
