⇨ Japanese A Bird Dragon Digimon considered as one of the heroes belonging to the Vortex Warriors. Its body is made up of turbulent wind energy. It soars through the sky like a gale while lighting up the earth everywhere with its shining wings. It has also been seen flying around the battlefield, carrying a Digimon known as the "Whirlwind General" long ago on its back.
Moreover, while it is a ferocious dragon, it also possesses the aspects of a powerful magician. It controls a variety of Wind Sorcery by combining four types of magic together—Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind.
Its Special Moves are an absolute zero wind cold enough to freeze even oceans (Frozen Gust), and a scorching-hot wind that incinerates the enemy along with the earth (Blazing Gust). In addition, it transforms its arms into a gigantic blade and sends out a slash accompanied by a whirlwind (Laevateinn).

Vortexdramon debuted in Digimon Liberator as a Level 7 card and evolution of Pteromon. Some design elements of Vortexdramon can be traced to Pteromon and its various evolutions, including the red accents visible on every stage from Fluffymon to Zephagamon, and now Vortexdramon. The helmet-like face covering seen on Vortexdramon is similar to that of Pteromon’s. Vortexdramon’s white-silver and golden armor is reminiscent of Zephagamon ACE, the form Zephagamon takes after Blast Evolution. The wings of Zephagamon ACE and the protrusions from Vortexdramon’s back both feature tips of multi-colour lights or gems. Vortexdramon’s head prominently features the bottom portion of a knight’s helmet, specifically the visor; this is a design motif seen in Medieval Dukemon, a fellow Vortex Warrior and an evolution for Pteromon. Vortexdramon also resembles the dragon-like design motif on the chest armor ornamentation of Medieval Dukemon. Pteromon is the Partner Digimon of Kazama Shoto, protagonist of the Digimon Liberator web comic, and the same red swirl motif seen on Shoto’s hair during climactic moments of the series is also featured on Vortexdramon’s helmet, as well as on Zephagamon's wings.
Although Vortexdramon is a Bird Dragon Digimon, its design is inspired by winged serpents like the Amphiptere, rather than any particular bird or dragon. Its name is derived from the Vortex Warriors. In the Digimon Card Game, EX11-074 Vortexdramon features the Vortex effect that most Vortex Warrior trait cards do. "Vortex" is also used in the name of the card game debut of Pteromon and the Vortex Warrior trait, ST-18 Guardian Vortex, and in Shoto’s Unique Emblem, Whirlwind Custodian: Guardian Vortex. On Vortexdramon’s black horn is an unknown text with letters that resemble English letters, reading "BALULUNA"; Baluluna is the name for wind sorcery used in Witchelny and by the Vortex Warriors.

Appearances[edit]
Vortexdramon is the Partner Digimon of Kazama Shoto.
Vortexdramon is the will of Lacuna. It manifested separate from Pteromon after after Unchain's defeat in [5], then reverted to wind data that healed the poison in Lacuna, allowing Digimon to live in it without being protected by cards or fearing for their lives, as proof that Lacuna itself had accepted them as part of it.
