⇨ Original
A Holy Beast Digimon capable of absorbing darkness and transforming it into light. It is also known as the "Devourer of Night" because the intense light that it emits from transforming darkness instantly lights up the night of the Digital World as if it were daytime. Although it is thought to evolve into an Ultimate possessing holy power based on that ability, it is said that it also has the potential to evolve into an evil Digimon due to the effects of the darkness it has absorbed.
Its Special Move is using its glowing claws—which contain the power of light—to tear the enemy apart as if it were dancing (Kōsō Kagura). Its "Mafutsu-no-shakkō", in which it converts all of the darkness it has absorbed into light, compresses it, and then fires it from the inside of its cape as a gigantic shot of light, is said to destroy any evil it comes into contact with.

⇨ English

| Shishimamon was designed by sasasi.[1]
Shishimamon was created for the Digimon Pendulum COLOR 7 Toho Braves virtual pet, with the intent of being a Perfect form to complete an evolutionary line that connects Siesamon, a pre-existing Digimon with powers connected to the energy of the sun, with fellow new Digimon Amaterasumon, who is based on the Japanese sun goddess.[1]
In the Pendulum COLOR 7, in addition to directly evolving into Amaterasumon by meeting the evolution conditions, Shishimamon can also evolve into Amaterasumon by Jogressing with Darumamon. Being that all three debuted in this virtual pet, this Jogress combination can be interpreted as an homage to:
- Magna Garurumon, a canine Digimon (like Siesamon) affiliated with the element of Light (like Shishimamon's role as the Devourer of Night);
- Kaiser Greymon, a draconic Digimon who bears the symbol of the element of Fire (like Darumamon);
- and Susanoomon, the fusion of these two Digimon (in Japanese mythology, Amaterasumon's namesake goddess is the sister of Susanoomon's namesake god, and the two Digimon share several design motifs).
