Digimon Hunter
| |||||||
Sorry for our appearance, but this article currently needs a lot of work.
A Digimon Hunter (デジモンハンター, Dejimon Hantā) is a participant in the Digimon Hunt who uses a Xros Loader to capture Digimon in DigiQuartz. Unlike a General commanding a Digimon Army, a Hunter normally fights using one active Digimon, supported by another through DigiXros. In this respect, their role resembles that of a Tamer.
Hunters can collect multiple Digimon while maintaining a principal partner. Their captured Digimon are stored in the Xros Loader and can subsequently be Reloaded or used in DigiXros.
Abilities[edit]
The Xros Loader allows Hunters to move between the Real World and DigiQuartz through the Time Shift command. It also enables them to track Digimon, capture them, and view the Digimon held in their collection.
Digimon in DigiQuartz can become violent under its influence. Capturing them protects them from this effect and allows the Hunter to call upon their abilities. A Hunter's collection therefore provides different options for dealing with opponents and the conditions encountered during a hunt.
Hunters can perform Super Evolution and DigiXros. Although their individual DigiXros combinations are restricted within DigiQuartz, cooperation between multiple Hunters allows additional Digimon to participate.

Rules[edit]
There is a set of rules that Hunters are encouraged to follow, according to a rulebook.
The known rules are:
- Only one Digimon may be out of the Xros Loader while in the DigiQuartz.[1]
- The active Digimon can DigiXros with at most one other Digimon inside the Hunter's Xros Loader.[1]
- Hunters cannot hunt Digimon that are in the possession of another Hunter.[2]
The second rule can be bypassed with the use of multiple Xros Loaders, with each Xros Loader capable of adding two Digimon to the Xros (the one active and one from the Xros Loader).[3][4]
The third rule was shown to lack enforcement.[2] It also does not apply to a Digimon willfully leaving their current partner to join the ranks of another Hunter.[5][6]

Anime[edit]
Digimon Xros Wars: The Young Hunters Who Leapt Through Time[edit]
Akashi Tagiru becomes a Hunter after meeting Gumdramon in DigiQuartz and receiving a Xros Loader from the Old Clock Shop Man. Kudou Taiki and Amano Yuu, who previously served as Generals, also participate in the hunt.
The Old Clock Shop Man supplies Xros Loaders to new Hunters and offers guidance about their activities. Hunters pursue different goals and may cooperate or compete with one another, with their captured Digimon forming individual collections rather than a single shared army.
The Digimon Hunt ultimately becomes part of the confrontation with Quartzmon. The Old Clock Shop Man assists the Hunters and brings together heroes from earlier Digimon series to oppose the threat. DigiQuartz is eliminated following Quartzmon's defeat.
