Talk:Digimon Reference Book
Lanuch Date[edit]
Does anyone know the date when Digimon Dictionary first opened? --Ainz 01:43, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
Images[edit]
I'm not exactly sure what the article is saying here. Are/were there higher quality images for those twelve Digimon, or have we only ever gotten the low quality ones we have now?KrytenKoro06 16:48, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
- For those twelve, we've only ever gotten the low quality versions. --Ainz ( talk | contribs ) 02:13, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
Name[edit]
Since it's been over a year since Digimon Web revamped, should we call Digimon Dictionary "Digimon Reference Book" or still continuing using the former name? --Ainz ( talk | contribs ) 01:54, 26 August 2011 (CDT)
Updates[edit]
Doesn't it seem strange that the Digimon Reference Book didn't update itself with a new Digimon?

WaruSeadramon[edit]
Does anybody have an idea on why WaruSeadramon wasn't replaced in the Digimon Reference Book?
Updates Revision[edit]
Doesn't it seem strange that the Digimon Reference Book didn't update itself with a new Digimon? Any idea why this is happening?-Kjfreeman72190 (talk) 17:21, 15 August 2014 (CDT)
- From the 15-17 is the Japanese Obon Holiday. The Reference Book has also not updated on other holidays in the past (Golden Week which is in late April)Coatlmon 22:25, 15 August 2014 (UTC)
Updates Part 2[edit]
I hate to sound objective but the Digimon Reference Book updated itself last year on August 16 with Boarmon and on August 17 of 2012 with Allomon during the exact same holiday that you just mentioned.-Kjfreeman72190 (talk) 17:54, 16 August 2014 (CDT)
- Assuming that,.because they have.updated on certain holidays before, they will always update on certain holidays, does not sound quite objective to me. Relax. -Part-Time Digimon Fan - Mackinz (talk) 20:06, 16 August 2014 (CDT)
Site Updates Section[edit]
I noticed the October 5th, 2021 update that allowed Digimon to have multiple profile pictures that could be swapped between with a button wasn't listed here. Idk if that was done on purpose or do to it simply being forgotten about. I'm just mentioning it here in case it was the latter. KiraraKidohara (talk) 16:46, 3 October 2022 (CDT)
- It just didn't occur to me that it would've been an individual update. The perils of trying to reconstruct this stuff in hindsight, I suppose. Working on it now. The date of implementation is very highly appreciated; that's always the toughest thing to pin down. --Pluvia (talk) 20:29, 15 October 2022 (CDT)
- Np! Happy to help! :) KiraraKidohara (talk) 22:35, 15 October 2022 (CDT)
March 31st, 2023 X-Antibody Changes/Bugs[edit]
I am unsure how relevant this information may be, but I thought it may be of use to have a full list of Digimon with improper X-Antibody tags as of this update, so I went through every Digimon and this is what I found:
Digimon Newly Tagged as X-Antibody Digimon: Algomon (Adult), Algomon (Baby II), Algomon (Child), Cherubimon (Vice), Garurumon (Black).
X-Antibody Digimon Not Tagged as X-Antibody Digimon: Baalmon (X-Antibody) (Was never tagged as an X-Antibody to begin with.), Cherubimon (Vice) (X-Antibody), Growmon (X-Antibody), Megalo Growmon (X-Antibody).
These are the only ones I noticed.KiraraKidohara (talk) 04:02, 1 April 2023 (CDT)
- do we know if anyone else other than the magpie got deleted? Hard to tell with so many profiles.Muur (talk) 06:00, 1 April 2023 (CDT)
- names are now their URL. We know this because Examon is now Exason.Muur (talk) 06:10, 1 April 2023 (CDT)
- I checked a few, and I couldn't find any, but finding a missing one is a lot harder than checking mislabelled things. KiraraKidohara (talk) 06:11, 1 April 2023 (CDT)
- I just counted. There are 1175 entries, meaning there only seems to be 1 (Xiquemon) missing. KiraraKidohara (talk) 06:35, 1 April 2023 (CDT)
- Checked this morning and Baalmon X, Growlmon X and WarGrowlmon X have been tagged as X-Antibody. Nothing else has been fixed yet though. Chimera-gui (talk) 11:29, 3 April 2023 (CDT)
- The Xros Wars Level has returned sometime between then and now. KiraraKidohara (talk) 13:04, 4 April 2023 (CDT)

All the above Digimon are now properly listed as X-Antibody or not. Xiquemon is still missing, as is the 20th Anniversary tag, and names are still weird. Though, 1 other oddity I've noticed that hasn't been brought up is that the Digimon order on the front page has changed. In the past, the Digimon were listed in order from newest addition to oldest addition, yet now the order is: Bowmon, Fusamon, Quantumon, Loogarmon, Loogamon, Proximamon, etc... A minor error to be sure, but I thought it may be worth detailing for completeness. KiraraKidohara (talk) 02:43, 7 April 2023 (CDT)
- I just noticed that the "View Other Illustration" button is missing from pages, too. Only Ceresmon still has it. Also, Splashmon has reverted to having both forms in 1 image. KiraraKidohara (talk) 03:52, 9 April 2023 (CDT)
- Xiquemon has been restored. Chimera-gui (talk) 03:09, 10 April 2023 (CDT)
I have discovered another bug caused by the update, the tags for In-Training I and II are bugged on the English version of the site, and attempting to filter on them produces no results. They also display as black instead of the correct orange/purple. AztecCroc (talk) 08:58, 10 April 2023 (CDT)
- I just checked, and attempting to filter by Xros Wars Level on the English version also produces no results. KiraraKidohara (talk) 09:24, 10 April 2023 (CDT)
- Searching the NO DATA Attribute in Japanese also gives no results, possibly due to Huanglongmon's Attribute now being listed as NODATA with no space in Japanese. KiraraKidohara (talk) 09:32, 10 April 2023 (CDT)
- Actually, it looks like Huanglongmon was always NODATA with no spaces. KiraraKidohara (talk) 09:35, 10 April 2023 (CDT)
- The Unknown type in English is also broken, all the Digimon that are under it in the Japanese version are under the Unidentified one instead in English. There may be more issues. AztecCroc (talk) 11:07, 10 April 2023 (CDT)
- I don't think the Xros Wars Level ever worked on the English Encyclopedia, even when it was first implemented. the other issues are definitely new though Chimera-gui (talk) 21:11, 12 April 2023 (CDT)

The "View Other Illustration" button is back on all the pages, but Splashmon is still using a shared picture instead of Darkness Mode's. KiraraKidohara (talk) 20:36, 25 April 2023 (CDT)
- And, I just discovered a new bug that I hadn't noticed before... Algomon (Perfect) and Algomon (Ultimate) have swapped. https://digimon.net/reference/detail.php?directory_name=algomon used to be the link for Algomon (Perfect), but now it's Ultimate's page, and https://digimon.net/reference/detail.php?directory_name=algomon-ultimate is now Perfect's when it used to be Ultimate's. KiraraKidohara (talk) 04:21, 27 April 2023 (CDT)
- i guess because of them accidentally making stuff parse by dub. so ultimate being lv5, like how the lv4 one is now caleld champion in the drb. oops.Muur (talk) 05:20, 27 April 2023 (CDT)
- Yeah that seems like something that was done deliberately rather than a screwup with how the romanizations are currently formatted. Chimera-gui (talk) 10:22, 27 April 2023 (CDT)

appmon[edit]
The ARB isn’t part of the DRB. it’s a different part of the website. Appmon Reference Book already exists. If a page is required for both, it should just be called “Reference Book”. They are not the same RB. ARB is *not* part of the DRB like this page now pushes.Muur (talk) 23:31, 9 October 2024 (CDT)
- It is included in the related media section plus there is a link to its own article, there is also the bandai asia version which was not even hosted in digimon.net, and references to other encyclopedias that also take inspiration from the reference book. Please chill out with your appmon hate boner. --Shadow Shinji (talk) 02:04, 10 October 2024 (CDT)
