As an enlightened Digimon that excels in all knowledge, it is called the "Sublime Lord". According to one theory, it is surely another form of a certain Demon Lord Digimon. It is said that in exchange for the reader's soul, it will grant one page of information from the "Red Book of Appin", which records all of its knowledge. Although Baalmon will answer any kind of question, it always inflicts an ordeal for the answer. If that ordeal is not surmounted, then it will not give the requested answer, and will snatch away your soul. Its mantle is covered in amulets from all times and places, and it is said that on those amulets are written solutions for every problem, so that with that wealth of information it is able to completely defend against any attack. Its Special Moves are transforming its amulets into various things and attacking (Guiltish), and releasing a mighty, lightning-fast smite from the Dǎshénbiān it holds in its hand (Kamiuchi). Kamiuchi inflicts especially large damage on Holy-species Digimon.
The effect on Baalmon's Digicore due to the X-Antibody
Some of the power within it that had been suppressed by its amulets has been released due to the effect of the X-Antibody. The "Red Book of Appin" has grown a will of its own, and should those seeking knowledge answer incorrectly, the book will cast its judgment upon them before its owner.
Its Special Moves are shooting through enemies over a vast range all at once with the shotgun unleashed from its right arm (Tūri Blast), and beating the enemy sharply with its left arm, which has merged with the Dǎshénbiān (Zai-Kamiuchi). In addition, it captures the enemy with its "Absomark", unleashed from the Red Book of Appin, and absorbs them as one of the book's pages.

あらゆる知識に抜きんでた博識のデジモンで『気高き王』とも呼ばれている。一説には、ある魔王型デジモンのもう一つの姿とも噂されている。その知識のすべてを書き記した「アッピンの紅い本」は閲覧者の魂と引き換えに１ページ分の知識を与えてくれるという。バアルモンはどんな謎にも答えてくれるが、必ず答えと一緒に試練を与える。その試練を乗り越えられなければ求める答えは与えられず魂を奪われる。マントは古今東西の護符を積層しており、その護符にはあらゆる対処法が記されているといわれ、その豊富な知識であらゆる攻撃をすべて防ぐことができる。必殺技は護符を様々なものに変化させて攻撃する『ギルティッシュ』と、手にした打神鞭で強烈な雷撃を放つ『カミウチ』。カミウチは特にホーリー系のデジモンには大ダメージを与える。
■Ｘ抗体によるバアルモンのデジコアへの影響
護符によって抑えていた内なる力がX抗体の影響でその一部が解放された。「アッピンの紅い本」に意思が芽生え、知識を問われし者が答えを間違えば、主より先に裁きを下す。
必殺技は、解放した右腕のショットガンで広範囲の敵をまとめて撃ち抜く『トゥーリブラスト』と、打神鞭と一体になった左腕を鋭く敵に打つ『ザイカミウチ』。そして「アッピンの紅い本」から放たれる『アブソマーク』で敵を取り込み本の１ページとして吸収する。
